If I was to be picky I didn't see much insulation go in under the floors which would have been nice and i'd probably have cleaned and treated that outside wall at the base around the 1:06:00 mark, but these are just very minor points. I'm halfway through a complete rip-out and restore project on a house in Northern France and I can see just how much work you guys have done, how sore your hands and arms and back would have been at the end of each day but WOW what a turnaround on this project. To think that this was done in a year is amazing... Well done to you both and all the people you had helping A labor of love... I hope you have many years to enjoy it !!

I am not married but I can imagine this is the kind of life lessons that makes for a strong marriage, or friendship. Also, what a jewel of a partner you both have. Not everybody is up for getting their hands dirty and work together for something so meaningful like their own home. Congratulations to both!

Just a thought, next time you cook using lemon, limes, and avocado save the seed. Once you have seed started you can plant them in large pot (possibly small half wine barrel) which will allow you to bring in and set in a sunny place during winter.

i watched this till the end and the amount of work you did is absolutely amazing! planning and fulfilling such a big project and being versatile in different things is a talent and a hard work. that was really inspiring ✨ it seemed especially important to me that you’re using the existing structures and renovating that you have - not building from scratch. it’s really touching that you’re saving the soul of that place, terracotta roof tiles, wooden doors and such. in my country (russia) it’s more common to demolish historical buildings and just build something from the cheapest materials, like blue corrugated sheets. it’s so important to use proper materials and make the building match its surroundings!

The work you have done is amazing, but as this is the first time looking at your channel, I would have loved to see the building layout at the beginning and the layout at the end and what the rooms are used for and how they relate to the space and outdoors. It's really hard to understand how the place works as a house/home. Apart from that, epic job.
