I think most people are unaware of just how monstrous these guys were. If you have ever watched a real cartel torture/execution video, you will have a faint idea of what these twisted psychopaths perpetrated upon other human beings. To see some comments here commending them on their "loyalty" is so besides the point. I enjoyed Narcos as much as anyone, but don't forget for a second that it was just a dramatization. These "men" were the scum on the Earth, and the fact that so many of them failed to meet violent ends for their monstrous crimes is just downright sad. Even the most painful death imaginable is still too good for the likes of them.

They called him Popeye because of when he joined the Navy he walked down the streets in his town in full dress uniform because he was proud of being in the Navy. He himself explained this in a documentary.

Unless you’re talking about the Netflix shows (which is largely dramatized), so many things in this video are so wrong. The pictures you used for Colombian politicians aren’t Colombian politicians at all. The photos are of Kiki Camarena, Carlos Quintero, and Miguel Ángel Felix Gallardo. Which brings me to the next thing: Felix Gallardo and Miguel Ángel is 1 one. Hispanics tend to inherit their father last name and their mothers maiden name. Isabella Bautista was a fictional character and Blackie was one of the names that got changed for dramatization purposes. Irl, his name was El negro.

I'm glad people are calling this guy out on all his inaccuracies. Thanks for saving me time. I hate fake documentary.

I was born and lived in Medellin throughout much of the time these killers were loose. Medellin was a wonderful city (as is now again) with great friendly people and amazing weather. My childhood was happy and care free. Then Escobar and his killers made Medellin a hell hole. It has taken years to dig out. Today Medellin is back to being a great city; arguably the best in Colombia. I cant watch any of these Narco series. I relive those times everytime I read about Escobar

How can you confess to multiple, let alone over 200 cold blooded murders and ever see the outside of a prison cell again?

killing everyone on board when the target was only one individual really shows how wicked and cruel these people were...remember these are people who were killed not cockroaches...PEOPLE! Smh

The pictures you used for “Colombian Politicians” were actual pictures of Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, Rafael Caro Quintero, and Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo. They had nothing to do with Colombian politics.

Popeye was scary as hell, he was highly trained and had no hesitation whatsoever. If you were on his list, you were done.

I bought Season 1 and 2 on Blu-ray and as I watched them for a 2nd time, if Pablo didn't blow up the jet and set off the car bomb, he would have survived and would probably be alive today. I always liked Gustavo and only after he was killed did the Empire start to crumble. Wagner Moura played Pablo, but he was Brazilian and spoke Portuguese. He had to learn Spanish for the series.

Anybody watched Surviving Escobar? It's a series based on the book about Popeye's life in prison after the reign of Escobar ends.. pretty interesting show tbh.. in it he's shown to be a very calculative, manipulative, cunning and scheming individual, but he has to be in order to survive a prison mainly divided and ran by guerrillas, paramilitaries and ofc narcos headed by a cartel boss from rival elements of the trafficking world

I watched a few cartel s nuff videos when i was a teenager. It's so horrific to see people get axed to pieces alive that your brain reaches an "uncanny valley" perspective. You get quickly desensitised even though what you are seeing makes you appalled and angry. It's only later that when you recall the murder scene that you feel a sense of shock and dread.

I guess it’s just the power they felt that really allowed them to do all this. If I had to guess they just felt like they were above those they killed, and felt that couldn’t be stopped, just a killing machine with no off button that’s being fueled by power and money.

FYI, the pic you have for Kiko Moncada, is actually a man who filled the void when Escobar got Killed. He was very behind the scenes for quite sometime and some say became more powerful than Escobar was in his prime. His name was Don Berna.

I watch a lot of stuff on narcos both the show and the cartels but I've never heard Pablo kidnapping Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo who was the leader of a cartel and "the boss of bosses" and he united all the big cartels. Everyone already commented that Miguel had nothing to do with Colombian politics, which I thought was just an honest mistake on your part. Just confused if he did kidnap him and Isabella Batista

Love how he had to say "it may be hard to believe" when talking about the military backgrounds of both the 2 first guys. It's really not that hard to believe when 2 out of 3 (who knows about Blackie?) of the guys have it lol.

Blackie was one of my favorite characters in Narcos.

I believe the pronunciation of 'La Quica' is 'la keekaa'. Take the word 'quien' as an example. Quien is not pronounced with a 'kwa' sound but a 'k' sound, as in 'kee-en'. Velazquez in Colombia Spanish is pronounced as 'veh-las-kez'. Using Spanish from Spain gives the pronunciation you gave as in 'veh-lath-keth', as so the same applies to Hernandez, no 'th' sound. The were Colombian and not European Spaniards
