This Polish Style Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Recipe is great for dinner or special days and super delicious, so I highly recommend you make it😀
If it's difficult for you to peel the cabbage leaves before steaming, please read the Tips BELOW⬇⬇⬇

➤ Ingredients

✔Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 can(400g/14oz) diced tomato
- 425g(15oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- salt
- black pepper

✔ Cabbage rolls
- 1 cabbage (10~12 leaves)
- 450g(1lb) ground beef
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 onion
- 1 cup of cooked rice
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 1 egg

➤ Tips
1. If it is difficult for you to peel the cabbage leaves before steaming, first cut the cabbage core and then add plenty of water to the pot.
When the water boils, add the whole cabbage and boil for 5 minutes and peel the leaves one by one, drain the water and let it cool.
2. Preheat the oven before using it

this dish is called sarmale in Romania, we mostly eat it on Easter and Christmas, but also on other various occasions and it's served alongside a scoop of sour cream and polenta. the only thing is that we use pickled cabbage that's left to ferment for about 2 months and most of the time it's cooked with pork meat, but we also have a fasting version. your version looks tasty as well, it's good to see you trying different dishes from other parts of the world!!

When I'm making anything with cabbage, I simply stick the cabbage into the freezer for a few hours or days. When I am ready to use it, I thaw the cabbage out completely. The freezing makes the leaves very flexible. When removing the leaves, just peel them back. They come off the root and the thick fibrous part of the leaf stays with the root. Have fun with cooking.

cabbage rolls actually exist in various cuisines, and originally isnt from poland. in most countries its called sarma or dolma which is a turkish term, the dish travelled to many regions during the ottoman empire.

Danke für dei Video! Wir essen das sehr gerne in Rumänien. Der Unterschied: wie nehmen den Reis ungekocht zum Hackfleisch, geben kein Ei. Die Kohlrouladen stappeln wir in einem Topf, wir tun Wasser darüber, ein Stück geräuchertes Fleisch dazu, Tomatenmark, etwas Thymian und Bohnenkraut (ich nehme Oregano stattdessen). Danach lassen wir bei niedriger Temperatur köcheln, 60 bis 80 Minuten lang, Deckel leicht geöffnet drauf. Beim Servieren geben wir ein Löffel Schmand dazu, auf den Teller.

@Надежда Амирбекова какая чушь и вы в это верите ?это ж какую морозилку в холодильнике надо иметь -вы правы -нет таких а из маленьких голубцы не готовят -я когда то тоже одну специалистку по замораживанию послушала и заморозила свежие огурцы (она сладко рассказывала что и в салаты зимой и в окрошку их добавляет )ну решила попробовать -капец -разморозила чуть что б порезать -получилась такая квашня --в итоге выбросила всё что заморозила -вот тут на видео настоящие голубцы - сама в духовке их не готовила -теперь хочу так приготовить-очень аппетитные

@Надежда Амирбекова здравствуйте, а вы попробуйте маленький кочан. Мне вот больше нравятся не крупные кочаны. Вот совсем недавно делала гостям. Всем очень понравились. Кстати и взяли на заметку морозит качан.

Эту капусту просто ножом не разрезать она жёсткая, у неё ни вкуса ни сочности будто газету жуешь , сорт который выгоден только торгашам, а так его можно хранить годами ничего с ним не произойдёт , голубцы хорошие , но вот была бы капуста как раньше белокочанная , а не этот голландский я уже и вкус забыла какая она была вкусная и сочная

You can!! This is a polish dish called golabki! I find it cool seeing other people's take on the dish, now to translate golabki can roughly translate to pigeon (or the plural name of pigeons lol) there are vegan versions of it where instead of meat, it will be rice, beans, and carrots if I remember correctly what my friend ate(?) I could be wrong of course! I will say, seeing this made me a bit ??? Maybe because I am nit picky or biased with how me and my family make the recipe BUT some stuff made me confused. For the cabbage we cook them while already having the stem off. It seems to be easier. We don't add sugar of any kind as far as I remember (but you can, most use regular sugar for the sauce imo! Polish traditional dishes don't use brown sugar compared to others from what I know) and here's the kicker...we don't bake them in the oven, instead we cook everything in one giant pot within the tomato sauce! Yep. You heard that right. This is where we cook it for a good 2 hours (sometimes even 3!) And that's for the cabbages to not be too hard, I slightly winced hearing them cut into the cabbage where it was still hard(?) Like I do know some prefer it that way, but I personally don't enjoy the crunch in it. It should be soft, easy to cut through and something everyone can eat with ease (or at least imo) now thats not to say you cannot do it in an oven! Some have switched it up for the oven and so have we but the go to (at least based on what I know from traditional ways) is with a pot. Also the sauce should be less thick and more like creamy soup but that is down to personal preference there! Overall a nice recipe that I give kudos to the person making, I am shocked they made it easier because oh boy does it get tricky with making golabki lol

Favorite dish of Turkish mothers. Stuffed cabbage is cooked for hours. Yoghurt and hot butter are placed on top of stuffed cabbage and of course a little paprika.
