Today, episode 4 of the Mediterranean Basin focuses on the wild boar. And wolves, cultures, the kite, foxes. Actually, the boar population throughout Europe has flourished and they’ve become a bit of a nuisance in some cities like Barcelona, Rome, Istanbul. The arrival of wild boar in town squares and city parks is forcing us to confront a new reality: we are bumping up against the limits of urbanisation. This is a crisis we have largely inflicted on ourselves. City sprawl is driving the species out of its dwindling natural habitats and forcing it to live alongside us. It’s definitely an issue that needs to be addressed without killing them off again. Regardless of that, our wild boars reside in the Mediterranean forests. And are generally shy. Enjoy!

I believe I’ve seen these same vultures on the island of Crete. Absolutely masters of cleaning up the dead. Lots of wild boar in Greece aswell

Confusing documentary . The Goat that went astray from the heard and was said to have be killed by the Wolves , turns out to be the young Boar . Different pelage to long horned goat . The Buck ( deer) looked like a Red stag ! or did they get the deer species wrong ? Nice filming though .

Excessive use of slow-mo, and I'm pretty sure the owl was baited with a dead animal (I HATE when nature shows do this). Other than that a good episode.
