Masterpieces from 700 years of art history
The art gallery houses the extensive and diverse collection of the art association in Bremen: with European painting from the Middle Ages to the present, sculptures from the 16th to the 21st century as well as outstanding works of international media art, it spans the period from the 14th century to the present day. A particular focus of the entire collection is the copper engraving cabinet, which, with its over 220,000 hand drawings and prints, is one of the most important graphic collections in Europe.
