Ep. 353
Watch Jordan Peterson's "Vision & Destiny" on DW+ bit.ly/3KrWbS8
Peterson draws upon his extensive research and relatable real-life experiences to illustrate how to develop attainable goals for intimate relationships, meaningful friendships, and your career. Transform the chaotic potential of the future into actuality - with a vision.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson and economist Peter Schiff discuss the gold standard, the corruption and impending failure of the fiat system in the wake of inflation, why politicians are pushing inflation to astronomical new levels, and why they’re lying about it.
Peter Schiff is an economist, financial broker, author, frequent guest on national news, and host of the podcast, "the Peter Schiff Show." Starting in 2005 Schiff took notice of the red flags signaling that economic unrest was looming, and correctly predicted the 2008 housing crisis. His attempts to warn the general public across a multitude of news and radio networks earned him the nickname “Dr. Doom,” and ever since then he has been looked on as a source not only to watch, but heavily consider.
Dr. Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: bit.ly/3KrWbS8

Inflation depreciates idle money. I'm in a privileged position to be able to save almost 65% of our net household income, as I placed it on safer investments. The key for us was not spending beyond our means. If you invest and have other sources of income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends. Got north of $200K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further

The main problem is that most folks don’t care about anything other than football, Basketball and Music etc. They find it normal to take credit card debt which will cost them 20percent per year but considers it risky to invest their money and make 10percent or more per month. Learning to avoid high interest debt while also learning how to put your money to work for you by investing is a very powerful combo

One strategy is to invest in assets that performs well during inflation. Another strategy is to focus on companies that have the ability to pass on price increases to their customers. Its also important to maintain a diversified portfolio. It may be a good idea to speak with a broker who can help you develop a customized investment strategy based on your individual goals and risk tolerance

Starting out with a with a professional that knows the ropes of the choppy but profitable market is the best way to achieve getting a well structured portfolio. That’s why I have been working with Deborah Jean Dykstra‘ and that doesn’t make me daft because in financial dealings one have to be prudent. Most traders enter exit with a quick 10% profit which is not bad in a general opinion but why not aim higher, it doesn’t necessarily mean to be greedy.

In light of the ongoing global economic crisis, it is crucial for everyone to prioritize investing in diverse sources of income that are not reliant on the government. This includes exploring opportunities in stocks, gold, silver, and digital currencies. Despite the challenging economic situation, it remains a favorable time to consider these investments.

The pathway to substantial returns doesn't solely rely on stocks with significant movements. Instead, it revolves around effectively managing risk relative to reward. By appropriately sizing your positions and capitalizing on your advantage repeatedly, you can progressively work towards achieving your financial goals. This principle applies across various investment approaches, whether it be long-term investing or day trading.

@Graces Donny Despite utilizing the correct strategies and possessing the right assets, there can still be variations in the investment returns among different investors. It is important to acknowledge that experience plays a crucial role in investment success. Personally, I realized the significance of this and sought the guidance of a market analyst, which enabled me to substantially grow my account to nearly a million. I strategically withdrew my profits just before the market correction, and now I am taking advantage of the buying opportunities once again.

I have been dying for Jordan to speak with you, David Stockman, or Dr. Bob Murphy from Mises Institute. Tom Woods from the Tom woods show would be great as well. Most of all, I would THOROUGHLY enjoy an discussion with Dr. Walter Block on the praxeology or someone like Hans Hermann Hoppe on private property. Those would be deeply philosophical and I think he would see how much his maps of meaning dovetails with Mises' understanding of Human Action.

During a recession, many stocks and assets may be undervalued. I believe now is an ideal time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it wouldn't hurt to know how to make short-term profit. I've heard of investors making over $400k profit in this current sinking market, and I'm looking for ideas on how to earn similar profits.

America is currently plagued by the hydra-headed evil duo of inflation and recession. The worst part about this recession is that consumers are racking up credit card debt. In April of 2022 alone, credit card debt went up 20% while rates have doubled in a year. Inflation is so high that consumers are literally taking debt for basic life necessities. Collapse has indeed begun.

Some economists have projected that both the U.S. and parts of Europe could slip into a recession for a portion of 2023. A global recession, defined as a contraction in annual global per capita income, is more rare because China and emerging markets often grow faster than more developed economies. Essentially the world economy is considered to be in recession if economic growth falls behind population growth.

It’s important to note that not all stocks are affected in the same way by inflation. It’s important to choose stocks that are expected to hold up in inflationary environments. To combat the negative effect of inflation, it’s a good idea to diversify your portfolio across different asset classes, such as stocks, bonds, and real estate, since this can help protect your portfolio against inflation. I have seen People making up to $800k in a month during high inflation

According to certain economists, it's possible that the U.S. and certain parts of Europe might experience a recession at some point in 2023. Although a global recession, which is characterized by a decline in annual global per capita income, is relatively uncommon due to the faster growth rates of emerging markets like China, in comparison to developed economies. I have pulled out more than $340k from my bank. After all, the FDIC covers only up to $250,000, and the implosion could have bad effect. Looking to invest into the stock market now. I am a homeowner (who is satisfied with my home / no intention to move) and yet I'm still terrified by the insane explosion in home prices over the course of the past 3 years; primarily because I have three young children and I would like for them to be able to buy their own homes one day as well. Homeowners who get happy when the (supposed) "value" of their homes explodes upward are being shortsighted. The middle-class being priced out of the dignity of homeownership isn't good for any of us, whether we already own our homes or not.

The only ones who benefit from rising home prices are Banks (greater interest payments) & Government (increased property taxes). The homeowner gains nothing! Think about it, what have you gained? Home equity, so what. Allows you to take a home equity loan (more debt), bad idea. If you want to sell your home because the price went up, so did the price of the home you want to buy. Again, the homeowner gained nothing.

I loved this video!! This took me 6 hours to watch and not because I am unintelligent nor tech averse. It was because the only financial education I received was Mathematics in High School and one required course in Economics in University. I constantly rewound the video, wrote notes, googled terms, and researched background info (the info rabbit hole WE ALL fall into that soaks up days!) I even broke open my old University days Merriam-Webster dictionary! (still wrapped in the beer stained cellophane, embarrassingly enough) This video made me realize how much we have failed, both ourselves and our children, on financial literacy and education. It is a crime, an academic crime that so few people actually understand money mechanics, who creates the money supply, how the money supply is created, and the dynamics involved with governments, the economy, stock markets, and taxation. How can, we the people, hold our politicians accountable if only a handful of us understand how money works! This video was a slap in my ignorant face. This video also made me acutely depressed about the quote uttered by Nathan Mayer Rothschild: _"I care not what puppet is placed upon the throne of England to rule the Empire on which the sun never sets. The man who controls the British money supply controls the British Empire, and I control the British money supply."_ Which means to me: If you own the money supply of a sovereign country, then the laws of said country meaning nothing to you.

What an interview! Excellent. Listening to Peter never gets boring for me. Among all economic experts, Peter stands out as being sincere and explaining everything in terms that anyone with no background in economics can understand. Truth is , there is a perfect storm forming in America. Inflation, sever drought in the farm belt, the pandemic, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating fuel shortages, baby formula shortage, shortage of and price of available cars, the price of housing. It's all coming together and could lead to real disaster toward the end of this year.(or sooner)

Thank you for revealing the truth about inflation by defining it in better, more absolute terms; and then explaining how our government and its elected officials and legislators manipulate that definition by using relative terms, and effects, rather than causes of inflation to describe “inflation” to attain their own interests and personal objectives.

Peter Schiff is so brutally honest about the state of the financial markets that nobody invites him to their show. If you ever wonder why prices are the way they are, how ponzi schemes thrive and how utterly financially illiterate the American politicians have become, check him out. His honesty has cost him airtime and presence. Peter's understanding of the true cost of a" free lunch" and what it means to those who recieve it are frightening

A number of the most eminent market experts have been expressing their views on the severity of the impending economic downturn and the extent to which equities might plummet. This is because the economy is heading towards a recession and inflation is persistently above the Federal Reserve's 2% target. Thank you for this video and for putting it here for free! I do not like seeing the value of my house go up that fast or at all. I dislike the fact that homes go up in value before poor people get raises for their work. My home increasing in value means that a younger person simply can not afford to buy it. It also means that rent will go up and that comes with more expensive everything like eggs and milk in order for them to pay that rent. I want to move into a market that is more stable in order for this inflation bubble in my area to not destroy my homes value and get away from the inflation destruction. ID. INFLATION DESTRUCTION is my way of explaining what is happening when inflation happens so fast that it destroys itself because inflation is not sustainable when it grows so fast. The dollar will collapse. I love countries with very stable currencies, but none of them exists because the US holds the global reserve. The best thing you can do is live in a country that provides to the world more than it takes from the world in relation to its population. But, you must also consider the ability to sustain even without currency, both digital and physically. So, more archaic countries with minimal electricity and sources that require monies. There aren't any in the world that exist. Every single country has at least 1 city that requires it all.

Great presentation gentlemen! Thanks for sharing. Two brief investing observations. Real inflation averaged about 4.5% year over year for the past 50 years (My numbers, I'm 72 years old and lived it.) That means the price of commodities doubles every 11 years and you need a 4.5% ROI annually just to break even. The S&P 500 averaged an 8.5% year-over-year return for the last 50 years. I did slightly better tinkering in residential real estate but that game is a hands-on business. Properties need to be managed and maintained, and lucrative if you what you are doing and are willing to deal with the challenges of the landlord business. (It is not for everyone.)

Times are weird. The US dollar is losing purchasing power due to inflation while strengthening against other currencies and assets. The stock market, real estate, crypto AND precious metals are down because people are fleeing to the "safety" of the dollar. where else can we put our investment money? It is a government inspired crisis this time. The Treasury have to sell Bonds to cover the trade imbalance and the government spending imbalance. In order to sell them they have to raise interest rates and the old long-term, low risk, low interest, AAA investments (including Treasury Bonds), held by the banks (often due to government regulatory policy), become next to worthless. The next milestone is the 15th when the government issue a new batch of Bonds. I have approximately 350k stagnant in my portfolio that needs growth. What is the best way to take advantage of this downturn?

Jordan is a brilliant listener, he seems to be effortlessly able to summarise a long explanation statement into a sentence or two without misrepresentation or omission. Truly wisdom is in one's ability to listen, learn, critique, find the questions remaining, and recall in application or summarise simply. If someone can simply and honestly summarise with veracity, you know they understand the subject or statement. They are likely able to explain why it is true or false, it doesn't matter if everyone or no one believes him, that's a "you problem". Essence of humbleness. The wise are respectfully humble.

Thank you Peter for a clear perspective. Politics is inherently corrupt. You have to win (buy) the majority. In relation to inflation or the value of money, a major challenge is that very few understand what money is. The money supply should mirror the nominel increase in GDP. Democracy will flourish and benefit from decentralization, where central control is minimized and the rest is solved decentralized. Switzerland is a good example of a strongly decentralized country.

I have been reflecting on the same idea; this synchronization is ubiquitous. Information is beneficial when we remain vigilant and identify any discrepancies. We will soon come together as one, with our computers, AI, and cryptocurrency to update our resources. Let us spread this message in a positive manner by sharing advice on how to adjust to the new financial system, where we can be prosperous and share our wealth. Utilizing tokens to increase decentralization of financial institutions will be beneficial, although we may experience some hardship. This was all foreseen in the near future. We are facing a tumultuous period, may our Lord Jesus Christ be with us and forgive this world, and bring us to His Kingdom, bringing Heaven to Earth. Amen.

I have read books, watched videos, and podcasts from these two men over the last 15 years or so. I consider them two of the smartest people alive right now. To see them talking to each other has total reinforced my opinion of both. They speak without fear. Time has defended them as truth speakers. Pay attention.

Truth telling is such a radical act at the moment.

@K0ukku no he’s first and foremost a funds and asset manager . The gold business he doesn’t even own anymore and was just started to make sure clients didn’t get ripped off by companies pushing gold numismatics instead of bullion

Markets are crashing, inflation is skyrocketing, and the Fed is imposing large interest-rate hikes, while treasury yields are rapidly rising-all of which means more losses for portfolios this quarter. How can I profit from the current volatile market? I'm still debating whether to liquidate my million dollars bond/stock portfolio.

Even in the midst of this whirlwind, there are chances to be found, thus an increase in volatility is not always a bad thing. You can rebalance your portfolio thanks to volatility. Employing a financial counselor to help you with every stage of the process is the best course of action.

That is why I enjoy having a portfolio-coach guide my day-to-day market decisions, because their entire skill set is built around going long and short at the same time, both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, and when combined with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's nearly impossible not to outperform. I've been using a portfolio coach for over two years and have made over a million and fifty-seven thousand dollars.

@Brillian Tran A coach sounds like a good idea, but how can I get a reliable one considering the nature of the market today?

@tudorrwilson Can't divulge much “Julie Anne Hoover'' is the advisor that oversees my portfolio. She's an extremely intelligent person, very thoughtful, cautious, and has an outstanding credentials, it's easy to find her on the web.

@Brillian Tran Thank you for this tip. It was easy to find your coach. Did my due diligence on her before scheduling a phone call with her. She seems proficient considering her resume.

I recall back in 2008 a friend of mine was heavy in the stock market. He would stress out everyday about what to do with his investments. I tried to help him think through it logically but then realized that wasn't possible. The unknown factor is what the damn government will do. Such as change the rules, print money out of nothing, bail out obvious bad investments, etc... The federal government is the greatest threat to the American people but too many people are dependent upon it for living so they keep voting themselves more and more benefits. I hope the inevitable collapse happens soon so I am able to help my kids navigate through it.

The most important thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies.
