People keep praising Ronnie for the ammount of entertaintment he provides to the sport, imo a close 2nd in that deparment is Williams. Great player, great character, lots of fun to watch every time, you can tell he just loves the game. Definitely a one of a kind player.

Because he plays from the new position each time; the balls aren't replaced, so the rule doesn't apply.

If I am not mistaking, you lose the frame if you miss aiming at a ball that you can't see, while at the same time there is a different ball for which you have direct visibility of at least one of its sides, and therefore would be "easier" to hit. All the misses were while aiming at a legitimate target so he was never warned by the ref.

Pretty sure on some occasions he was asked to play again from the existing position (the balls were not replaced). You don't have a 3 Miss Rule in that instance.

I think, instead of putting him back, Mark just made him play from where he left the white, meaning he had 3 chances again.

Guessing cause the white was hampered by the other red he couldn’t hit any red full ball (either end of the red could not be hit) therefore the rule doesn’t apply, again just guessing 🤷‍♂️

If they've just potted a red, the player has to nominate which colour they're playing for. Although normally they would do so without the referee having to ask. I remember one situation where a player was snookered and took about 5 attempts, consistently fouling by hitting a different colour to the one they'd nominated.
