I never knew Pavi was so deep into the nuances of info warfare. I remember our association in late nineties in Rashtriya Rifles. He always had the kink in him looking for out of the box ideas. Highly energetic officer who was too sharp & unique in intelligence gathering. His transformation from an infantry man to a techi has been for the good for him & the nation. Looking for more such interviews.

This is your best podcast. Other military personnel were great but this person has far better clarity and articulation than any of them. Also i used to consider a lot of them slow based on what i heard from one of the friend in my college. This was further reinforced by hearing General/Colonel speaking on tv and twitter. It's good to meet few people with brain. I liked the bit where he was chatting with navy personnel, especially what it was about.

@@vinithagodbole6321 you didn't understand the meaning of slow. Also evaluating people in high position in neutral environment (academics : Strictly speaking, it's not neutral cause one is continuing his studies and in great college & other is coming back to study based on their need but in terms of power, equal playing field ) over months gives you better picture

NaMo govt has actively encouraged 'lateral entry' of top Indian technocrats, who have led brilliant successful research careers in cutting edge technology research divisions at Apple, Cisco, MS, General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, Skydio, Lockheed Martin, Wybotics, AR, UAVAmerica,Nokia, Amadeus, Dassault, Erikson etc.. Most of these professionals, now their mid fifties /early sixties are being actively encouraged to consider joining as lateral entry direct recruits to the post of Under/joint Secretary in various ministries. The entire lateral entry system is reportedly managed by close Modi confidante lateral entry system, Union MoS, Personnel, Jitendra Singh directly and a personal email to him kickstarts the entire process, which includes a very comprehensive background check and so on and so forth.

Everyone knows Pavvi as a cyber expert, but very little is known about his sharp skills as an Infantryman. I had moved into the Valley as a novice with Pavvi as my company officer. He would analyze and forecast terrorist action, which i believed very little in until the autumn operation. On specific int of presence of terrorist (I was the team cdr with Pavvi) we cordoned off the target house. However, despite numerous detailed searches we drew a blank. Standing inside the house we were contemplating our next course of action. Pavvi suddenly yelled ‘Sir get aside, I can smell him, he’s in this room’. I immediately rushed out of the room (though I did not believe him). A thorough search of the room drew terrorist fire from a hideout and we finally neutralized him. I was totally intrigued and on later asking him, he explained that the body language of the house owner indicated terrorist presence while the pungent fear smeared sweat odour confirmed his presence. All thanks to him that I am alive to write this comment. After the incident I have started trusting him more than my life.

Smita ji. Very interesting Podcast. Proud to note that we have such highly intelligent, dedicated people who remain in the background And serve and protect our nation with such painstaking efforts. Such people do not work for the sake of salary. It is their interest to face the challenge for the security of our country. We must also appreciate the PMs Atmanirbgar projects to oversee other nations interfere in our interests. The previous government with a pseudo Indians penetration jeopardized our interests for the sake of money and power.

How we as citizens are enabling our adverseries because what they provide is slightly cheap. But eventually it will be more harmful for us, rahter than helpful which we were made to believe!

Most people simply enter the foreign exchange market without comprehending matters like this. The first stage in building money is determining your goals and risk tolerance, which you may do on your own or with the assistance of a financial counselor who works with a verified Finance agency. And also you can learn the facts about saving and investing and create a clear plan, you should be able to acquire financial security over time and enjoy the benefits of income management

You are correct! Working with a financial advisor who has worked in a solid financial firm for a long time, such as John Desmond Heppolette, will actually set you up for success in life. I'm delighted I was able to reach out to "John Desmond Heppolette " earlier this year because while others were grumbling about the downturn in the markets due to the state of the economy, I was busy learning from him and eventually made over seven figures in the first quarter alone, which is why it's always good to join the correct community.

Col Saheb, ''lack of strategic thinking/planning'': bless you for those words! I am 63, have never used a smart phone; minimal footprint on social media, as well. But coming back to the absence of strategic thinking, I am deeply concerned that today we have no way to communicate to our ''betters' in the Indian establishment about some things one might feel are vital to our security interests, and are of a time-sensitive nature. May I connect with you somehow and send you the names of a couple of organic chemicals as well as some of their derivative products? As an infantry commander in Kargil, you will at once see what is relevant about these materials. Also, our food production systems are wildly out of order; exceptionally vulnerable. I don't know if the PMO or the Indian economists, intoxicated with the fumes of their own supposed cleverness, ably abetted by their obsessively anti-national conditioning., are in any position to advise our leaders about the clear and present dangers facing us. Just as Barkha Dutt was at Kargil, taking real -time pictures of the artillery positions, a feat she repeated in Mumbai. Modiji was able to devote 3 days of his very precious time to a national meet on Natural Farming, but might not be similarly enthusiastic about thinking through some counter-intuitive suggestions on our food security, and energy concerns. Whoever has been feeding Nitin Gadkariji specious nonsense about 'green hydrogen" and ''biofuels" need to be countered by opposing points of view , based on scholarly evidence and the unrelenting principles of thermodynamics. Would you be willing to find some ears willing to listen to some urgent concerns, or be willing to listen to such yourself? One other person would be most valuable: Sri Jayshankar's brother, who began his career as a game theorist under someone I know well and who can voich that I am not insane, by a long shot. Hare Srinivasa

Great Podcast and its relevance and uniqueness lies in the guest speakers. Amazing insights by Col Pavi in this podcast. He said so much without really saying too much, highlighting areas where the country and bureaucracy in particular must focus for the country to fulfill its potential and take its rightful place in world order. What was disturbing to note was that the youth bulge is not so aware of the big canvass on which there work will impact, that's a great point to make. As for the host, continue the great work you are doing.

Policy makers can take a lot from this interview of Col Pavithran. Hard hitting facts. Govt can't keep the pace - bring onboard homegrown pvt players, ICT domain has to be "Atmanirbhar", privacy matters & many more. On a lighter note "Call me Pavi" 😊

When it comes to national security and interest, India is like a small child with her thumb stuck in the mouth. Unless at national level we develop the awareness of cyber threats, and implement laws to forbid any means of foreign influence or input, we always will find our self vulnerable. Discussions like this are eyeopener. Stay smart and safe.🙏
