Kern River Outfitters is undisputedly the best rafting company out in Kern River with the best guides that make the time memorable. I, also, had Patrick as a guide when I went rafting and he is totally a down to earth guy. Also, the content in this page is amazing, I love the narration done by you guys.

What a GREAT adventure video!!!! My wife and I live in Kernville, a block away from the river.... we are so glad all of you had a blast and a little taste of adventure and freedom on the river we love! Hopefully you and your friends will be back one day soon! As a matter of fact, the Kern River is running FAST/ GREAT again with all of the rain we've had here, and we haven't even begun the snow runoff!

This is a great piece for Kern Rafting, looks like an amazing full service rafting trip! The Kern krew seem absolutely friendly, inviting, and totally chill. Loved the meaty not so little short guys, I can't wait for Mt. Whitney! When is that coming? Andrew - Try a Michelda. A mexican drink with - Clamato, Modelo or Cornoa or any other mexican beer (better with modelo) - lots of fresh lime juice - salt - valentina (hot sauce) - and tajin. Absolutley perfect refreshing drink and defintley better than a bloody mary.

My great grandfather owned a mine on Greenhorn Creek, so it was nice to see you guys in the area. You guys should try raft backpacking. Just raft down the river, then each night find a nice spot along the banks to set up camp. I did a week long trip on the Rogue River in Oregon, one of the best weeks of my life

Many years ago I went white water rafting in the Smokies with a group of friends and it was such an awesome experience! I need to do it again and try to convince my family go with me. But my day was only an 1 hour river ride, not an extensive camping trip. Looks like A LOT of fun.

Another great video guys. I've done almost exactly similar white water rafting on a grade 5 river close to where I live here in NZ. The overnight stop with BBQ and booze was really fun, and the next morning a bit rough. :-)

That outfitters sure does create a memorable experience. The guides have a "surfer" attitude that is quite entertaining. This type of variety creates good flavor for your channel. The clamato beer is a classic mexican beer cocktail called a "michelada". It's exactly like a beer bloody mary. Premade ones are not great, but properly made ones are fantastic. I don't think they taste clammy at all. I love how open minded Andrew is about weird flavors.

TheSkyzepplin1 yes. That would be the lower kern. Upper kern has better rafting imo but it is more dependent on what kind of snowpack we get in the winter whereas the lower depends on what is let out the lake. Well I take that back they both depend on the snowpack lol.

Dinanauth Lohitaswa that would be the kern river just outside Bakersfield Ca. Closest airport would be meadows field in Bakersfield but they might have just flown in to LAX and drove from there. Its a 2 hr drive to the north.

Glad to see you guys together! Will we be getting a video on Mt Whitney? Please to more while you are in Sierra it is a stunning place! I recommend Sequoia or Redwood National Park. Sequoia is in Sierra and Redwood along the coast! Redwoods/Sequoias satisfy me a lot!

Growing up in So.CA. my family camped on the Kern about a dozen times before I was in school, all I could remember was the small beaches and big boulders.... (Just like I remember) That was in the early 60's. Thanks....

That was totally cool. However, at my age, I think that's a little too much excitement for me. LOL But it was fun watching through your eyes. My one experience with river rafting was on the Green River in Utah many lifetimes ago, starting just below the dam. Problem was-they apparently let out too much water from the reservoir and there weren't any rapids. LOL Well, there was one little Class 0.1 rapid that went between two rocks and we went through that. Then we paddled back around and went through it again. That was our entire experience with rapids on that trip. The scenery was gorgeous, however, down through the gorge and the water fights with other rafters were cooling. Three questions: 1. Where was Bryan? 2. How did you get those shots from the shore? 3. Who had time to fly a drone, or was the drone videos provided by the KRO?

I used to go to Kern every year white water rafting with my Girl Scouts, and we loved it. We havent been for a few years now... Ive done the upper and done this 2 day trip, as well, good memories !!

Greetings from bakersfield. Nice video but you should come back and try this again spring when the flows are up. Can be extremely dangerous depending on what kind of snowpack we get during winter. Was bad for about 10 years straight but we had a very good winter last year so the flows sustained all the way through summer.

Regarding your analysis at the end… Right on. I had a similar experience of easy-going humanity I am much shorter rafting trip in Montana. The type of folks who gravitate towards that stuff are indeed, as you asserted A special kind of strong and yet easy-going person.

How did you capture the drone footage? Did you take the footage while you guys were rafting or did you go back and capture footage afterwards? Im a drone pilot myself and navigating that canyon is pretty tough especially without obstacle avoidance.

Hi guys the kern river is a wonderful place I live about 20 minutes drive from the mouth of the canyon and go there all the time I have not yet gone rafting but I will this next year as long as the river is high enough it has been low the last few years, the fishing is good, look up kern river tea cups, and the slide you may missed this but there is always next time Thomas may do some exploring to find a fun time for you all next time your in CA THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.
