We are selling our own handmade cutting boards!!
Buy one here: www.grankvist-outdoors.com
My girlfriend and I hand-craft these cutting boards ourselves in the log cabin. We can only make a few at a time, so you have to be first to buy one when a batch is released. Our first batch is signed by hand with its own unique number, representing how every cutting board is unique. They are made from hard nordic oak, making them extremely durable, holding up for a lifetime of abuse. Instead of having a plastic cutting board that really should be thrown away after 2 years.
I was told that my dream of selling handmade products wouldn’t work in today's world where everything is mass produced. I want to prove them wrong. My goal is to expand into other handmade products, making a series of lifetime quality handmade goods. Breaking free from mass production, supporting our environment.

I see that many people are bothered by the higher price of Eric cutting boards. Yes, the price is higher, but you have to understand that you are buying this board with the fact that you want to support Erik and his girlfriend. It's like a donation, and the board is Erik's thank you for being part of his community. In addition, these cutting boards really have added value because Erik and his girlfriend made them themselves, which also takes some time and patience. So, in my opinion, the price is absolutely right, and the product will find its buyer.👍

I've watched Eric grow. I've watched his cabin grow. All the time his planning in meticulous detail, his patience in putting his plans to work, his skill with a wide range of tools, especially the axes, is a sheer joy to behold. Hes a credit to his parents, his country , and above all to himself. Young lady do not let him go! I look forward to more .

These videos make me so happy. As someone stuck living in a city for now, you are living my dream. I can’t even imagine how much I’d have to pay to learn the things you’re doing if I relied on classes and teachers. I envy you so much! Keep up the amazing work. I am absolutely stunned at how many talents and skills you’ve acquired and grown over the years, and the cinematography on top of it all to capture everything perfectly! Your videos leave me in awe!

Woow, what a story! A young man with big dreams started to build his own house by using only hand tools in the middle of the beautiful nature in Sweden. Always with the saying "nothing is impossible over time" which his wise grandfather told him once, in his head. Day by day he kept on working and the years went by. And here he is now, sitting in his own build cabin, with a wonderful girl by his side and a good dog.

Erik, thank you for posting your videos they were as enjoyable as they were educational. You've created something amazing with little more than your bare hands and the strength of your back. No matter how labor intensive each aspect of the project was, you never cut corners. I can't decide which part I like the most, it all came out so well from the cold storage basement, the mini smoke house, and of course the stone chimney. The location alone is amazing, and your cabin blends beautifully into it's surroundings. You must be very proud of yourself, and I hope it provides you with A lifetime of enjoyment. I look forward to your next project, until then thanks again from Jimi in Boston.🍺

Great video. Welding tip: NEVER lay your bare arm on the grounded work piece. If there is even the tinyest hole in your glove or you have sweat through it (salt water) when you touch the hot end it is all over. Looks like you are way too far in the woods to get help and you will be found with a burned patch on the arm that touches the ground plate and still clutching the stinger but sadly dead. Please be careful in future projects.

Erik still has me in awe over his building skills. Apparently, there is nothing he cannot do, and he does it very well. Using perforated steel sheet to support the masonry chimney hood is a brilliant idea. Putting his GF to work finishing cutting boards is another. Well done, as always!

I am of a similar age to you, however I went down the steel fabrication route instead of woodworking. I appreciate you for making these videos because they can inspire more creatively minded young people to become skilled craftsmen instead of going down the college/university route by default, setting them up for a boring career they will dread. Your videos promote pride in work and high quality without corner cutting, which we need more of. Thankyou Erik
