Not only risk of getting bullied (and all the negative effects of bullying like low self esteem, depressive states, etc) was reduced. Also the risk for melanoma. Most people with birthmarks like this need to get very frequent checks for cancer.

For all the people who are saying 'she was already beautiful' or 'why would u remove it, it made her special' yes obviously she was and is a beautiful baby the reasons they may or removed it is maybe for her future health incase it became a cancer type. But also just think about the society we live in and be realistic she probably wouldve been bullied for it, its sad but its the truth.

My son had a wart on his nose. It was in such a spot that total strangers would hand me tissue to wipe his nose. After trying a variety of treatments we had it removed. I completely understand removing her birthmark. You saved her from a childhood where other children and adults would not be kind to her. I would cherish the pictures of her before the surgery but know you have done what was best for her.

She is absolutely beautiful both ways but this procedure no matter how beautiful she is saved her from the people who dont share kindness to everyone. It also reduced her chances of skin cancer. Parents always know best ❤️ such a good mum and dad for making the best decision they feel they could for their baby no matter what other think.

People can say that "She's already beautiful", "She's Beautiful even without surgery" But the parents made the absolute right decision of removing it and avoided a huge upcoming burden in her life. This isn’t a matter of just bullying/self esteem. This is a matter of safety aswell. Having a massive birthmark in a primarily exposed part of your skin can cause melanoma or skin cancer from sun rays.

I had to have surgery on my face at 3 years old & have a 5 inch scar on my right cheek. Never seen what my cheek would have looked like otherwise. I went on to do modeling later on in my life. She will see the scar everyday. But it will never define you or steal your beauty. Scars tell a story & show how strong you are.
