Customer service vs. customer experience; Do you know the difference?

One of the best exercises for you to do is make a list of companies or businesses that you go back to over and over and over again, and ask yourself why.

On the left, list five companies you return to again and again, and on the right write the reason for doing so.

For instance, on the left write, "I go to this restaurant at least once a week" and on the right write, "I go there because _____________."

The thing that goes into the blank is generally one of these six reasons. They will give you a lot of clues for your own business.

This is all fine but they terminated me from one company because I didn't sound like a machine. Horrible company. They were employing ppl when there is a peak and releasing within 3 months when calls are less. By the way it's a shaddy company which has branches in developing countries.

Good customer service is when you encounter problems they solve your problems quickly and treat you nicely. Good customer experience is good customer service + they have done lots of work to minimize potential troubles beforehand so you encounter NO problems at all. For me good service and experience are the must-have. Only when a provider has achieved these will I consider its "warm, personalized greetings" or "birthday gift card" valuable.

Customer service is the most cancerous job in existence. Guys DO. NOT. DO. IT. The customers do nothing else but whine and your supervisors will bust your balls to work faster and change the standards constantly even if you met the previous ones. Please it is almost better to sleep under a bridge then having to listen to people who did nothing with their life so they became 'supervisors'.

I respectfully disagree to your point that service and experience are different- Service is the process of delivering something and experience is what you feel as a result of going through that process- for example, my experience of going through a service process could be bad to great depending upon various factors ( e.g. proactive communication, connect ability to solve problem etc.).

No. Customer service is completely different from the experience. What I have to do Vs what I'm expected to do and they receive it. Your wording comes off as someone with less than 2 years customer service experience. It normally doesn't take that long, but you can do everything expected and not meet the customer expectations because they don't know how your job works or what you're allowed to do. If you watch this with that in mind, you'll understand what he's trying to say.

May I please ask, if you as the owner or the seller and your ad stated buy 3 different items you get free shipping. I thought I give a try so I left a question says would it be ok instead of buying 3 different products, may I buy the same item 3 times still eligible get free shipping? Then, you replied ‘Please go away we don’t need problem customers. If you’re not going to buy, I have plenty of customers will.’ I said maybe you don’t recognise me but I’ve be a regular customer for the last four years. I did the same thing previously and you always waved the shipping fees. Maybe things has changed that I didn’t aware of?’ Then, you replied ‘Don’t even try it on and we do block problem customers!’ & she did. May I please ask who’s wrong in here? Thank you.

Speaking of using the website. Oh my goodness, some of the websites just a nightmare. Just like in ‘Search 🔍’ you just type the name if there is there; otherwise, a simple word ‘No match or Product no found’. I mean at least I get a sort of response, right.
