We must do what Allah has ordered us to do. Doing what is mandatory such as praying, giving zakat, fasting are fardh (mandatory). Aside from it being mandatory , it carries a lot of benefits as well. Whether its’s for your health, your mental peace , your heart…This includes the cleansing your heart, and making it easier for you to stay away from evil/sins. A true believer is one who acts according to what has been instructed upon him. May Allah help us to become the best of believers and forgive our shortcomings, ameen

Of course, when you restrain yourslef from sins, allah rewards you. I recommend you to try to learn more from the quran as much as you can, do not stop reading and studying the quran and sunnah to increase your knowledge and Iman. God reward those who seek knowledge (knowledge with benefit to you and the ummah like knowledge that you can make living from, benefit society, or religious knowlledge), restrain from evil, do good deeds, and more
