A few comments if I may: (1) Kudos to the officer exiting the rear of the pursuit vehicle. His trigger finger was along the trigger guard as he got out, as opposed to IN the trigger guard. You'd be surprised at both how many, and how often, trained individuals make this mistake. (2) This looks like a marked improvement to the MP-5, and man do I wish we had these "back in the day" (3) His final moments of life reminded me of the scene in the movie Casino when Joe Pesci stabbed that guy in the neck with the pen. "you hear a little girl crying Frankie? Where's Mr tough guy now?" I know I'm twisted, but I did chuckle a little.

Thanks for the explanation of why the officer shot , even though the perpetrator didn’t raise his firearm. People fail to realize the police are there to not also protect others ,but to prevent the situation from escalating. He could’ve AND WOULD HAVE tried to protect himself by harming innocent bystanders. Like the ones you see running to the right of the screen….from the drone footage

I was so scared the dog was gonna get hit on accident... uh I just hate it when people make choices like this that costs them their life. They never get away, it never works out well. Especially in this situation when a task force of some kind is coming for you and not just one cop who's calling for back up... back up is already on you!

I used to work somewhere where we had to check out ARs, Shotguns, pistols, and grenade launchers. The MP7s we were only allowed to look at. They were for a special unit, and the armorer never let us even touch them. They looked cool af tho.

I always like using them when they pop up in games, the first time ever for me was in Golden Eye on the N64 in the form of the rcp90, loved using that gun! Its quite rare to see a police department actually have a few of the MP7 on hand, they cost a shit ton even if your law enforcement the department might consider maybe getting more AR-15s for cheaper budget. So this is a huge plus for them to use such an awesome weapon platform

MP7 my claim to fame was that I ended up in the Trials and Development Unit (British Army) for the weapon system 99-00, It was developed as a PDW, Personal Defence Weapon, was for medics, flight crew, apache pilots, and tank/armoured crew as a weapon. It was developed in the UK by HK at the same time as the revamped L85A1 to A2, (which the untrained and the ignorant declared a terrible weapon). The PDW was due to come into service for the British Army, but budget and logistics stopped that and the carbine was developed. Though MoD police and others use it. For a weapon designed for non-frontline troops, it is amazing and I too fell in love with it. The stopping power of the round that it uses is very effective.

Played through Half-Life 2 again a couple months ago but with Mmod which gives the gunplay a much needed update. Kind of fell in love with the MP7 in that. Now if I can just find a a grenade launcher that fits it like the game.

mp7 makes a lot of sense for law enforcement, It's lightweight, compact, lightweight high velocity projectiles will expand very efficiently if hollowpoint and AP capability for soft body armour could be readily switched to. so in most law enforcement situations on paper it's superior to an mp5 in most closer range situations due to the ammunition, weight and cost (even if ammo probably costs more), but also may actually prove a better overall weapon than a patrol rifle for most scenarios at the expense of longer range accuracy

Fun story, when I was 11 I was at my neighbors house who owns probably the biggest ice company in America. He had an mp5 and was shooting at jugs in his lake at night. My dad is a veteran and they both couldn’t hit the last jug. I got to shoot it and they said no full auto for me, I didn’t but I tap fired quick and sunk the jug. At 11, it felt like no recoil. I can only imagine how sexy a MP7 would feel

As someone who lives in Colorado Springs, it’s all or nothing. I’ve even seen them use a bearcat to extract someone from an apartment complex. But if something is less severe it basically gets shrugged off.

Hey Donut, I haven't gotten far into the video yet, but going off of your line of "if a video game has the MP7, I play that game," Here's one you may not have heard of; OTXO It's a top down shooter, like Hotline Miami or Hong Kong Massacre, but on ALL the Steroids'. And one of the best weapons in it (at least early game) is the suppressed MP7. ESPCIALLY when you get the drink that allows you to dual wield one handed guns. I fully suggest checking it out.
