This week I tried the sirtfood diet which is supposedly the diet Adele followed through her drastic weight loss journey. In this video I am only attempting phase one of the diet. I'm not a fan of fad diets but, in only a week I had some pretty nice results.

Sirtfood Diet:
Phase 1:
-Seven day “jump start”
-First 3 days calories are restricted to 1,000 per day: 1 meal/day & 3 green juices/day
-Days four through seven calories increased to 1,500: 2 meals/day & 2 green juices/day

Phase 2:
-Lasts fourteen days “maintenance”
-No calorie limit, eat 3 meals/day made of approved “sirtfoods” & 1 juice/day

Phase 3:
-Repeat phases 1 & 2 or begin incorporating sirtfoods into your daily meals

I still think the best way to achieve fat loss goals are by counting macros tailored uniquely for you because you can forever eat whatever you want all while staying in your very own calorie deficit this diet is nasty and isn’t for everyone it isn’t sustainable I loved this video I laughed the entire time🤣🥰❤️

I hate how some people are making excuses on why they can't be healthier. Like yes unhealthy food is cheaper, but eating in smaller portions, and buying more veggies, nuts and fruits than snacks can make all the difference in the world. Exercise might be a bit harder to execute if your don't have time or energy though. Replacing greasy foods with veggies isn't that much more expensive AT ALL. In fact, they might even be about the same prices. Most of us in middle class can do it. We just don't truly want to. I mean why else would the middle class in other countries (speaking to Americans here ) be healthier than us? It's not like they have more money. We can't keep making excuses.

I did this diet for 7 days and I got sick kind of like the Keto Flu. I quit.

Day 8 on slimfast, I'd do that for another week, then switch to protein shakes rather than slimfast shakes. Watching this for next months diet plan though im going to go on the 500cal a day diet for a month, this last 8 days on 800cal was okay, difficult with a toddler. Lost 40kg and have 18kg to go and every month I have to switch it up .

500kcal is not much. I highly recommend the intermediate fasting method. You will benefit from it in many ways.

If its all that training count me out I do no exercise. Maybe 5000 steps a day sedentary. I'm 7.5 stone. I've high level of pain. I'm not too light im very short and I do no training and I've got moderate hypothyroid. I recommend weights but enough calories. Ive bmi of 19 at 5 feet 1 maybe diet can be better more calories 1200 and 5 a day. Enough carbs. This diet sounds miserable imo. I've shortness of breathe when I cut carbs like this program. I run 2 -3x a week and do classes 2x a week. I do not think such a diet might help. I'm quite annoyed by what's suggested though the veg are really good. I eat at least 1500 calories a day. I would not follow this.

Healthy yes, but not the diet for someone on a budget. A lot of these ingredients are quite expensive to buy on a weekly basis(at least in the UK) , esp as they are perishable eg strawberries .

Yeah, but making easy changes within our reach like just buying more veggies and fruit will help. A tip I also got is to freeze strawberries or any other fruit or veggie that expires quickly. They will expire like 10x slower. Helps a lot, and you can just put it in a smoothie straight out of the freezer.

Buckwheat: an Asian plant of the dock family that produces starchy seeds. The seeds are used for fodder and are also milled into flour that is widely used in the US by the way. 🙃

I smell shiiiiiiit! I highly doubt she did it with a fad diet. I bet Adele was struggling to do her concerts with all that wight and said "fook this for a lark!" got regular exercise and found some tasty healthy food to replace the fattening food... and probably treats herself in moderation.

From someone who lives in a small town in Asia. This diet is not achievable considering the types of veggies and fruits. I need to travel for hours just to gather all the ingredients? Whoa it's costly. We mostly have root crops here and sweet potatoes.

You can find buckwheat in any Russian grocery store. It’s one of the most common grains in Russian cousin.

Really should research food combining that absolutely does work and I aren’t deprived of amount of food. Just eat in correct combinations which moves ur bowels regularly and also no excercise or calorie/carb counting. Lost 35 lbs. Now I’m 57 and need to do again. Wonder if will work on menopausal body.

I realy enjoyed your video thank you. Remind me of mine and kids sense of humour. About the diet ,I'm planning to go on it. I've told myself as you've said basicly a kick start then a healthier lifestyle thereafter. If not anything but a better way of eating healthier foods. I would've considered that I ate healthy veges fish etc but I like my peice of cake 🎂. Hahahaaa

eat what you want to over eat you with stochmach and make some regular sport thats it the secret and low sugar and no one way eat bread bread for example and no met met met very day or pizza pizza and another one for in the week eat carefully and mixed little meals with sport this is the one thats work it out for many of the bodies and have dizplin with out that no sucess stay fongest on that typ of life style and take care of the abuse of the pills or vitamisn that yout put extra on system immun not everyday for time to time if you need !!this is okay ehalth no coca cola hamburgers patatoes or sugar overdosis like cocaine drug and red bulls worst all salat and veggies and drikn more of all the stuff is water more water and fish no carp overdosing normal no junk food or fat food at all more omega 3 oils and workout your ass is the best !!

The point with this first week is to "reset" everything. The second week isn't the same, there are less juices, you eat a lot more and the rest of the program is set up to work for life. I don't know why most people only do the first week, the rest is the important part.

FYI for those on blood thinners turmeric is a blood thinner too and you you might want to discuss using turmeric with your physician.

I would imagine that if you only had one meal a day and that if it was healthy foods that you would lose weight. Drinking leafy greens with a bit of fruit twice a day has probably just minimal calories. You could probably just do that with any combination of things as long as they weren't heavily calorie laden. I don't believe in a magic pill or a magic diet. People stay off of sugars and high fats and eat food that is healthy it would probably have the same results. Just a thought. And considering that this particular plan contains shrimp and other things that are not plant-based people who are on a plant-based diet could not follow this particular plan the way it's set up. Questions, questions and more questions. Also what happens when you revert back to what you consider normal eating for you? I'm not saying you shouldn't try it if you want to it doesn't look like it's unhealthy but could you stick to this for the rest of your life? Which begs the other question ... Would you have to. Most of us do not have deep, deep pockets and do not have trainers and Cooks. Hence, is it sustainable long-term and how would one tweak it to make it work long term. Like I said I have questions.
