Jordan B Peterson

Gün önce

Dr Jordan B Peterson and Amala Ekpunobi discuss her early life being raised in a far left household, the instances that caused her to question the all-encompassing ideology she had been fed, and her rise to providence as an internet and podcast personality, advocating for the truth across party lines.
Raised in a far-left activist household, twenty-two-year-old Amala Ekpunobi was once a student organizer for the left. Unanswered questions-and a search for the truth-led her to a complete ideological transformation. Passionately sharing her new conservative values online, Amala became a viral social media sensation. Now the host of PragerU’s popular show “Unapologetic with Amala,” she inspires millions of young people every day to discover the truth, defend their values, and lead better lives.
Dr Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: utm.io/ueSXh

The bad part of America in 2023. You shouldn't have to have people come with hate and vitriol to counter your argument. People should be able to debate and argue with people who believe the opposite, without any hate or vitriol or yelling, slander. People can't discuss things like adults in the USA anymore. Young people should know this is not normal. People used to be allowed to disagree and still discuss their disagreements without yelling.

"Just because someone cannot formulate an argument, doesn't mean they do not have a point." THAT is a great point and advice to whomever is closed to different views than their own. This was a great conversation, and I learned a lot about myself as well and will practice to "listen with humility." Congrats to Ms. Amala.

We should all work on improving our communications skills. We should also make a sincere effort to understand what others are saying without trying to make people feel stupid or score cheap political points on those who aren't as good at it.

That is an extremely important point. There are people that go from job to to job because they are very good at talking employers into hireing them. That doesn't mean that they can hold down those jobs. Further the politicians we need may not be the same as those that are skilled at making people vote for them.

Loved these two and love Jordan. My only criticism is that I would have loved to hear more from Amala about her experience and relationship with her mother and friends after changing her ideologies. It ended up being an unfocused conversation about random things and topics we’ve heard Jordan speak on many times. Maybe having specific goals for these convos or questions to ask during the time would utilize the time better.

Glad I’m not the only one who was feeling the same way. I love Jordan but, I felt it became a lecture of him dissecting her story in a logical way while educating her on her choices and life style; vs a interview truly surrounding Amala’s story and her responses. 🫤 None the less it was a good talk either way. 😌

@Bruuklynn I catch myself wanting to domineer conversations like that a lot, with a feeling that I somehow have a unique insight that should be shared for the benefit of whomever I'm speaking to. I think it's a lot of that intellectual pride, and like he said, he probably has traits from it even after trying to temper them.
Chris S
Chris S Aylar önce
@Genevieve C. This is very astute. I do enjoy listening to the way he prefaces questions, but I also wish he'd let his guests get in a word edgewise and particularly not cut them off before they articulate their thought. It gets a bit obnoxious when 5 minutes is spent on preamble to each question only to then allow guests 20 seconds to speak, before moving on to a tangentially related topic. Amala, though young, could have provided insight that is simply privileged information to a white, 60-year-old man that was also presumably not raised by a radical "white guilt" leftist single mother. And I don't think we got much chance to hear from her.

As someone who struggles with depression and adhd, this actual conversation just encourages me more to keep up the fight. It’s brutal, and a lot of times it feels easier to just give up because it’s overwhelming, but that’s would be me giving power over to the demons that keep me in a self shaming state subconsciously. It’s a battle, it’s like having a second driver at the wheel who’s constantly talking you down, but because it’s you, you sometimes rationalize the negative, then it carves a neurological pathway into your brain which then messes with your view of life. It also doesn’t help if you’re emotionally dis regulated with sleep issues lol. Love myself before I can learn to love others and hopefully the rest will follow. At least I hope. Thank You again, you really don’t know how much I needed to hear this. It makes the path for a fight and a victory more tangible for me. Cheers 🍻!

@Breakman Radio There's serious identity crisis in America currently, sensible young men and women like Amala can't relate to the leftist ideologies that defy common sense and decency, but the difficulty in turning right is the thin line between conservatism and it's political affiliations. 90% of conservatives tend to lean Republican, and the struggle for individuals like Amala who have the sense to know that the core base of the republican party has a significant following that shares certain views that may be in direct conflict with herself. What America needs is a third party, a party founded on rationality and rectitude, I believe the future of the nation may depend on it.

I have an awesome story. One time I was driving home and I felt the presence of Jesus come down and he got right by me. I started getting chills and I felt so comfortable with him. I knew if I asked him to play any song he would. So I said "Ok Lord, play Come as you are by nirvana..." I turned on my radio and the song began right on the spot, perfectly. I started getting flooded on the inside like a waterfall of chills by the Holy Spirit and started crying. I got home and he stayed with me for 10 minutes til I got out of the car. Since then, I've been getting answered prayers for nearly 5 years. Many involving other people. I know many other people who get answered prayers. Praying in Jesus name and following the Biblical instructions.

Omg I’m so happy for Amala getting more opportunities like this. She speaks so clearly and makes powerful points. I never knew she’s only 22! I’m almost to the end of the video and this was a great conversation

I thank you both for your wise words. I have looked at your posts often and with great interest! Here in Finland, a major political change just happened when the green-left suffered a crushing defeat, while the right-wing parties received an avalanche of votes. It is an indication that people are tired of the woke ideology, environmental hysteria and politicians who do not understand anything about managing public finances.

What a breath of fresh air. Thank you Mr. Peterson and Pragar U. For giving Amala a voice. A much needed perspective…I am 79 years old American and have been witnessing the decline of my beloved Republic for over 30 years now. If we don’t wake up that “cliff edge” is getting closer and closer. Kudoes to those who are speaking out and hopefully can get this train back on the tracks.

So thankful for DJP's intellect. As someone who's predisposed to be conflict averse I may always struggle against my nature. His hypothetical scenario of conflict avoidance in a marriage and the sheer volume of time potentially wasted is great motivation for me personally as I endeavor to change my perspective of conflict itself. JP has such a beautiful way of breaking life's challenges down into bite-sized chunks that make solutions suddenly seem so obvious and applicable to a multitude of situations. What a gift that he uses his incredible knowledge and talent to help others. Thanks Doc! God bless...

This was a wonderful discussion from 2 people who I appreciate. Amala's general outlook and awareness combined with Peterson's clinical knowledge and keen ability to put things into words that effectively express broader ideas is a powerful combination.

I've seen her a few times and oddly she asks questions and actually listens to the answers, thinks, and then replies based on facts and logic. Something of a unicorn these days for anyone 22 years old. I'm looking forward to watching her star continue to rise in the years to come.

YOU TALKED AMALA, Dr. Peterson!!! I listen to her ALL the time. She is such a voice of wisdom in our times, just as you are. This podcast is my Christmas present, and no mistake! What a gift to see two of my most favorite people in the world talking together. I was a young conservative and now I hope I am a still-young conservative, and I felt very, very alone in college. I wish Amala had been around then.

AMAZING Amala is great and helps people see their own thought processes like Dr. J Peterson. I'm glad she was on the show. I'll be praying for you both that the common-sense message goes far. Also, I'm so glad about the new documentary. It looks great. As one Christian said to me, "The Bible is the only book that men have given up their lives for willingly so that other men can read it and be saved." Love, Alex.

I was extremely left leaning some years ago. Somewhere back then I was starting to feel skeptical about most of their ideologies. Sick of all of the outrage. I've heard them scream bloody murder and acuse Jordan of being the most awful human being ever, so that made me want to listen to him. I knew that if these idiots were so perplexed by what he preached, that must mean he is an amazing human being with an important message. And that's exactly what happened. I listened to some of his content and thought to myself "Oh dear, they couldn't be more wrong if they tried". I immensely admire his work and have attended his show once already ❤

What a positive personality. I can’t imagine the filth and vitriol you must have had to pass through to startup your casts. I image 90+% of the people dishing such emesis would curl up in the fetal position if the rolls were reversed. You are an intelligent, competent and talented beautiful young women. We support you and hope you know there are many who applaud your efforts and you as a contributor to an often negative society. Have a blessed day and keep up the good fight

Glad to hear there are people out there that are thinking, challenging themselves and sharing their journey. It is not about a correct ideology but an ideology that is most correct.
