Thank you sir, I got a 9 in listening and overall 8! I suggest you guys to practice 15-20 tests, dont get worried on scoring less in those coz i got around 33/40 on my home tests. And more importantly try to focus on the audio. There may be random chair pulls in the exam hall around this time quite enough to distract you.

Hi Chris, first of all, thank you for this fantastic video and the effort you put into tutoring us. Secondly, I got a score of 33/40 in the above test, a few questions I got wrong were due to missing out words such as "THE" in the answers. I can't seem to figure out whether to use such words in some answers or omit them in others. Your suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I’ve been watching a lot of videos from Chris and I’m about to take my IELTS in 3 days. Even now when I’m taking the mock exams, I get scores of 7.5 to 8 because of the strategies he shared. I will update here as soon as I get my band score. But even now I am very thankful for the knowledge I gained from his teaching. He actually made IELTS preparation simpler and has a way to target the criteria needed for each section. When I took IELTS listening part, computer-type version, I got confused with how those questions were organized. To reach some of them, I needed to scroll my screen to the right, which I didn't do. I skipped around 4 questions, so - I tried to calm down and did educational guessing, used some logics to answer those questions. My result 7.5 in listening. Conclusion: never give up, you still can do really well :))

Hello Chris, after paying attention to the entire video and doing the free practice test, I was able to find out where I stand when it came to my listening ability. I got 37/40, and the 3 mistakes were mainly caused by me losing focus or falling for the distractors/traps. I'm really grateful that we have people like you who go as far as to help those that are struggling on their IELTS tests.

Hi again Chris, thanks so much for these excellent materials you provide us with. I was watching this video and currently am at Maps part. There is a situation called Aphantasia in which a person is blind in his mind, I am one of those people. When I close my eyes there is just darkness, I can't produce a single picture or line there. Nothing. So I have accepted that I am different and gave up trying to make a virtual map in my mind. I am trying to put pen on paper and follow the question in that way. Just wanted to add another comment here 😉 P.S. I'm not asking you take back your words or anything like that, please excuse me if I have said words that imply that concept.

I am going to watch this video to be able to achieve at least a band 8. I already did two practice listening tests and was able to achieve this goal. But I am pretty sure, that this will help with possible "anxiety" because of the stressful situation. So thanks in advance :)

Searched the comments and found yours. Made the same question 5 seconds ago. It's not the first time I encounter this issue, and sometimes it seems like they cut possible answers although they are under the word limit. For me, "over 40 miles" is correct. I've searched, and it looks grammatically correct.

Regarding your query, in Cambridge books 1-10, IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training practice tests are in one book and from book 11 onwards, there are separate books for Academic and General Training, and they have 4 tests each. I have a question about your TRshow analytics: I have been struggling getting good analytics and I was wondering, since you have been doing long (and very long) videos recently, are you finding that they are doing better than short ones? If you think TRshow will ban you for double posting, you should check out some of the biggest IELTS TRshow channels. Some of them are posting multiple videos per day. They aren't doing that through hard work. Here's a clue-' It's very a sad.'

I got band 6.5 from this test 😕But It was my first ever Ielts listening test and It was kinda hard & confusing for me cause I wasn't familiar with the structure of the ielts test.
