Extreme temperatures, endless droughts, vicious winds and ravenous predators present the desert dwellers with a never-ending ordeal. Despite these adverse circumstances, Saguaro National Park is one of the most biodiverse deserts in the world. In the midst of the barren landscape stands a silent sentinel. A giant.

I have lived in Tucson for 74 years. I have never seen a video this good about Saguaro National Park. Thank you very much. The video makes me feel proud and very fortunate to live here.

Thank you very much for this educational yet awesomely intimate look at this place which I have visited several times, but were it not for the Museum near Tuscon where many of these species are displayed, I would have had no idea of the diversity and interconnectedness of so many different species and plants.

In my admittedly biased opinion, the most beautiful national or state park I’ve visited, especially when the cacti are in bloom. It’s full of life and stunningly beautiful.

Hey narrator, at the 9:40 mark: "she's not (female rattler) picky" (referring to once the males battle it out one will be back for her.) Um, what do you think the whole battle between the males is, in all species? The female in this and most cases doesn't have to be picky, nature and how that plays out on males does that for her (or as in our species it's a bit of the best of both worlds for the females with all or most of wanted old school niceties, but with a whole host of pendulum for them new laws and cultural assumptions with or elses built in for them in their lifetime....) Basically nature is females of most mammal species thumbs upping or downing males, and usually after much focus and sacrifice and work and often death by said males just for usually only one or a few of the males getting rewarded while most live life on the edges while seen as the danger when instead the ones truly hurting, while meanwhile almost all females if not all will be ushered into the group, protected, valued. Anyway, yeah, i have no issue with nature being what it is, but this is transparently modern and geared towards well, a narrative connected with a big issue for humans...and well, it is sadly what it is. (and no, not a mountain from a mole hill, an analogy and an example of moderns and how their minds have been crafted off course by good but naive and wrong intentions.) Otherwise, peace. You mean well. I want all men and women to be free, have autonomy, live under equal protection of law, within a science based knowledge of our species among other things. Take care.
