Há 9 meses atrás meu marido havia me deixado, eu perdi o ânimo pra tudo, mergulhei numa tristeza definhante, estava entrando em um quadro depressivo até que comecei a ver seus vídeos sempre que deitava pra dormir. Não tive uma noção do quanto isso iria me ajudar. Pouco a pouco os momentos de tristeza e solidão foram dando lugar a uma paz de espírito reconfortante, fui me recuperando com o passar dos dias. Digo isso porque a arte das paisagens tem um poder tranquilizante muito eficaz sobre a minha mente, é como se eu tivesse vivido alguma vida em um lugar assim, é como se eu sempre sentisse saudades de algo que não vivi ou não tenho como recordar, mas está aqui, guardado em meu coração e minha alma. Hoje eu e meu marido estamos juntos novamente. Obrigado por ter me ajudado a segurar a barra nesse período tão doloroso de minha vida.

This has become my new favourite channel. I much prefer instruction videos that have no dialogue (just soothing music) as inane chatter can drive me mad. These paintings are amazing and I’ve subscribed so that in a couple of years when my youngest is at uni and I have time to myself I am going to give this a go. I wonder if, after doing a number of these, you can learn the technique with your own originals? Thank you Jay Lee for your wonderful videos.

I have never painted and this has inspired me to try. This picture reminds me of my husband and I. We’ve have been through a hard 10 months and we have found such comfort going for walks in the woods in the rain with our umbrella. I am going to paint this for him as a gift for our 25 year anniversary. I hope I do it justice!

This is incredible for me to have even came across this. Not only is it beautiful, but I've been having the urge to paint. I keep thinking of the theme I wanted to paint. I said, I'm going to paint a path in the woods with a bench on the side of the path with people walking together down the path in the distance! This just happened to pop up on my TRshow! The only differences from my vision was, no umbrella, no bench and no red. My mind is blown. Thankful to have seen it knowing I would have trouble with the people.😊 It's truly beautiful.

I did this! It turned out really beautiful, I wish I could add a picture to show you. It's harder than it looks but doable and it's fun! Tipp: Make sure to put the paint in the beginning really fast and start blending as soon as possible, otherwise it will get dry and be hard to blend. Also make sure you put enough paint, otherwise you won't have the same effect when you'll tap with the aluminium foil. Last but not least, make sure your road is as thin and curved as in the video. I only realised at the end that I painted the road straight and it didn't have the same effect, but then i corrected it, so it's fine.

I remember back kn high school, our art teacher made us use an oil to make the acrylic dry a lot slower so if we made mistakes (and we did haha) it would be easier to correct. I don't remember the name but i'm sure at and art store they would know. It was like "Retarder oil" (i googled it)

This painting reminded me of when I was 8 years old...used to go to my painting classes with my mother, under an umbrella; one rainy evening it was looking all the same like in this painting, the road that we were walking to reach my class...and a couple walking somewhere in front of us; the cloudy sky...it brought back all the memories of the day.

I really appreciate the fact that he shows you that you don't need to buy expensive supplies to make amazing work. The "tools" he used to make this piece was creative on it's own. He used every-day household objects to achieve this look and that's nothing short of amazing 👏

I think the coolest part about this video was the execution, the techniques. Watching the creativity of how this was made really added to magic of watching it develop. It was mesmerizing watching each new addition and slowly realizing what it was becoming.

I'll never understand how people can just think of something they wanna draw and it comes out as beautiful as this painting.
