Mrs. Hass was my English teacher in the 8th grade. She is an amazing teacher who loves each and every one of her students. I didn’t have many friends and she would always check up on me and make sure I was ok. It breaks my heart that she had to suffer through this because of this soulless excuse of a human being. My heart goes out to all the families

Her recalling her injured student is absolutely heartbreaking. She will never forget her kids- all of those kids.

The trauma that will forever be deeply engraved in this woman(as well as everyone who witnessed and has been a victim) is just indescribable. You can see it in her face and body language, you can hear it in her voice. This should not have happened! 17 families and hundreds of others will traumatized and grieving for the rest of their lives over senseless, unnecessary violence. This should not have happened.

You can tell how deeply affected she is by what happened to the students in her class. She had a hard time getting it out. Absolutely heartbreaking. And the fact that she could still teach, let alone at the same school, shows how much she cares for her students. What a courageous woman.

i can’t even begin to imagine the absolute terror this teacher endured, the way she speaks about her students reflects how much she truly cares about them all individually.

I can't imagine what she must've gone through, and very possibly, still goes through. This experience will haunt her for the rest of her life. Every time they have some sort of emergency drill, she'll struggle with it. Poor lady, she seems so nice!!

My heart breaks for her … her words are so heartbreaking but watching her eyes go back and forth as if she’s seeing everything happening for the first time again makes me cry .. No student or teacher should ever have to go through something like this .. this needs to stop .

The trauma this woman endured. Along with everyone else. Her breath and voice is shaking, she mentioned multiple times we were just trying our best. It broke my heart into pieces. The shock of seeing all those babies needing help and she did just so. 😭💜 and to continhe working there?!

This teacher is so brave. She's dedicated to her job and has so much compassion towards her students. I can only imagine the horror she faced when she realized it wasn't a drill and to describe what happened in court to testify against the defendant must have been very difficult for her, but she did a good job. Idk how she can hold her composure after being badly traumatized. It's easier said than done. She's doing such a good job trying so hard to talk because you replay that in your head specially when the murderer is there. God please give this woman clarity and strength. I just feel so horrible for the parents there hearing how there kids were shot. Ugh I'd loose my mind if this was me. Idk how I'd cope with this horrible event. I know myself i couldn't.

What’s been bothering me so much in all of these accounts is the defendant SITTING AND DOODLING with his head slumped down. Insane disrespect that is now actively being permitted by the court.

This teacher must and the students must be living this trauma everyday and my heart feels for them, it's not fare for them to live these moments each day. The fact that these students, teachers, and parents have to relive this day is heartbreaking! I don't understand why ot takes 4 years to sentence someone to death! We all know he did it, he admitted it, and there's multiple footage of him doing it!!! He does not deserve to live. As soon as he walked through those doors and pulled the trigger was when he signed his life away! No amount of therapy is gonna help him 😡

SERIOUSLY?!! It's taking 4 years to sentence someone who admitted and clearly committed these atrocities! WTH are they dragging this out?! Who is pocketing the millions this case is costing taxpayers? Seems to me "something is rotten in Denmark". If it takes this long for sentencing in this case, then there is something terribly wrong with the justice system. This is wrong on so many levels to intentionally drag out a sentencing in a case like this and putting these people through reliving this horrible day.

February 14th is supposed to focus on love. For one sick and disturbing person in particular it was all about rage and murder! Rest in peace all the dear souls that passed away that day. I hope that love still reigns over loss for all the loved ones.

The saddest part of this whole case isn’t even the fact that all those students died… it’s the fact that they died for no reason because gun laws still are practically the same and automatic guns are still so accessible to mentally unstable people. Give these young people a voice now that they’re silenced and change the gun laws!!!!!

This shooting only went on for 5minutes and 22secs. I want you to imagine how short 5mins is and these poor people might have felt it went on for hours. Nikolas should not be allowed to leave this court room without a death penalty. Anything less would be AN INSULT TO EVERY PARENT who understand the time,love,money and commitment it takes to raise another humanbeing Go read the sun sentinel report and you will see how meticulous and detailed nikolas was,he even tried shooting at people running away from the school. This boy is a monster

That moment when she talked about Alex Schatner broke my heart he didnt even had time to get out of his desk when Nik began to shoot into the classroom that poor boy died sutch a horrific death . He got shot into the head and chest and caved in moments before his death he was hyperventilating alot and trying to compose his breathing but couldnt and finally went limp before dying on the floor ..... May he rest in peace ! .

What I, as a Brit, cannot understand is why the general populous do not get together to have these automatic weapons banned or, way stricter rules before being allowed to own them. Only in America - which is NOT the land of the free.

Today I am old, and just as she weeps remembering Alexander Schachter and others, here in Idaho, I do too. I recommend UCONN TRIBUTE TO ALEX SCHACHTER on TRshow to everyone. I was Alex's age when I too, loved Chicago and 25 or 6 to 4. You'll appreciate what a Brass Band does for that song.... He likely would've liked Stars and Stripes Forever too. My school had auto locked doors so they were locked all the time. It was annoying if people kept leaving and coming back since you had to open door for them over and over but it is probably the safest thing you can do

I saw footage of room 1213 from a Snapchat video. Everything this teacher stated was 100% accurate. In the video you could see the smoke in the room, the fire alarm, the lights from the gunfire looked like fireworks on the wall. Someone was screaming for help, Carmen schentrup was groaning and dying on the floor, other students were hugging each other under the desk, Maddy Wilford was bleeding and passed out against the desk. The whole scene looked like a warzone. Half the students were in shock and the other half was scrambling to survive. My heart goes out to families and victims of this entire case

I really hope the pictures they are showing these witnesses and when these children were alive and not at the scene. That'd just be insanely not right at all 😩. I pray for every single one of these teachers. The fact the teachers were braver then an armed security guard is so sad 😩😭

this is why although drills are good for a standard procedure because no one knows what the situation could entail, for example if there were more shooters waiting outside. but always assess the situation and think about what is best. this is also why schools should not give surprise drills. i know these kids most likely did not have enough time to make any decisions but kids in the classrooms that were shot later could have had time to jump out the windows and escape if they knew it was a real shooting.

Poor teacher. Poor families. 😢 Why was he placed in isolation instead of the jail’s general population? High profile or not, he should’ve been placed with everyone else.

I think the jury has heard enough and the survivors have been subjected to enough. Why are they and the families having to go through this. If the District Attorney hasn't proven his case by now maybe he needs to be replaced. It's almost like it is all about him.

It's making me mad he keeps his head down.. he isn't listening to them.. he is drawing or something you can tell he don't care about any of this and makes me so mad.. he did this he caused this he should be made to listen to them and hear how their whole life changed because of him!!

Ms Hass did her VERY best to help those she LOVES that horrendous day, and likely Beyond to this day. Greater Love hath no one.... Alex Dworet and others seemed to sense her love and return it toward her as they testified...
