The camera directly behind the pitcher like this is so much better than the usual angled camera. Shows the movement on the pitches so much better and makes it look way more impressive.

literally was thinking this watching dylan cease earlier, a lot of fans don’t know how nasty some of these right-handed sliders are because the cameras are usually placed behind pitchers at like a 3/4 angle

@@Ali-jw4sj last I heard he had a setback so maybe August? The problem for Strider will be innings pitched as he hasn’t been stretched out into a big league starter. Hopefully Soroka can help with that and maybe a 6 man rotation or giving Strider a start or two off down the line to keep him fresh. Idk will be up to Snitker and the training staff

The speed of the ball is great, but what I want to praise more is the power of the ball. The sound of being hit into the mitt sounds like the sound of a cannon being fired!!! He's a really good pitcher. I hope he manages his condition well so he can run long. 👏👏👏

The main thing that makes him tough to hit, besides the 100mph fastball, is that he short arms the ball. The hitter can't see the ball until well after his stride foot has landed. There really should be some kind of physics law that makes this impossible.

I've heard the stat multiple times how he throws his fast ball over 70% of the time. However, it's the fact how this dude is not afraid to cruise it over the heart of the plate time and time again. He's fun to watch.

Lucky enough to live 15 minutes from Truist Park and able to go see the Braves on a regular basis. Watching Strider is surreal, literally has less than 50 big league starts yet you know barring catastrophic injury, you're watching a future Hall of Fame pitcher. And he's still not considered the Braves ace. That's reserved at the moment for Mac Fried and rightly so. Add to the H.o.F Ronald Acuna Jr. also. Great time for the Braves. And to top it all off....I'm actually a Yankees fan. LMAO!!!!

When the freak made his debut in 2007 there were baseball gurus saying that he wouldn't last with his mechanics. They were right, at 32 he was out of the league. Strider has much better mechanics and he's already had Tommy John surgery. If Strider can improve his command he could be devastating on the bump. A lot of his misses are right down Broadway, hence his 3.03 ERA, which is excellent.
