I've never seen anything like him in all my decades of watching hockey. It is unfathomable.

What I find the most interesting is, he does this stuff so often that it looks simple and basic. How many times does he literally just skate between the 2 d-men and just blow past them and roof a goal? It's amazing stuff. Even as a Bruin fan, I hope he plays 20 years and gets better every single year.

This guy single-handedly made me root for the Oilers. It's not because I particularly care about Edmonton, it's just because I want to see him play more. I really hope he wins at least one cup. The guy deserves everything.

It's amazing to see how great of a player McDavid is... He's in a league of his own, hands down. No one comes close to him. His talent and skills are beyond Crosbys'. Sad to say that he might not win a cup if the GM over in Edmonton doesn't provide some depth into the scoring. The Oilers literally only have 2 players. Draisaitl and McDavid. Those 2 make the team lol...

I watch these highlights and they actually make me sad. We will never get to see McDavid represent Canada at the Olympics. What an absolute treat that would be to see.

As an Oiler fan I am lucky enough to have watched every game hes played I think. His speed is obviously amazing. But his combined puck work and his thinking at that speed is what is really tremendous. Its all in sync at that speed. Its just incredible. I cant wait to see where he stands all time when all is said and done. Im just really excited for the future.

I have been following his career since the Erie otters. He is such a special one of a kind talent. His highlight reel is never ending. But I enjoy everyone.

I was at that game live, and there was a noticeable lack of crowd reaction when McDavid pulled that move off...it seemed everyone was literally in awe of what just happened.

Thé one thing that impresses me is his acceleration and puck control. He’s able to accelerate like no one else the league has ever seen while being able to keep the puck where he wants 100% of the time. It’s truly something to watch

this man makes his shots look EFFORTLESS, what an amazing player.

Something to notice is that you hear the commentators mention how he goes back into the neutral, sometimes even further to help start, if not start on his own. If you look at a lot of great players in history the better know offensive players would do this as well, gives him so much information of how to start the next play and the control of what happens on the attack.

Every time I watch McDavid, I always find my eyes widening in awe and shock and disbelief! LOL He's so fast and so good and so accurate, I'm running out of adjectives.

I had the opportunity to see him in his rookie year against the lightening. His speed is super human, when he gets the puck, it’s like a boost of NOX! Add to that his perfect puck handling and you have the best player in the league, hands down.

Mario and Gretzky both were a step and a half ahead of everyone. McDavid does it with his skating and his will and hustle.

Whats amazing is how easily he does it. Some of the goals don't seem impressive because he's so damn good. He just makes it look like he's half ass'in it. Its truly awesome to get to watch him from day one.

Connor mc David is such a nice guy too I worked at the Hardware Grill in Edmonton and he came in at least twice a month and always came to the back and thanked us for his meal and even gave us autographs if we asked!

6:57 - beyond insane that close. McDavid is easily the fastest, most incredible player to ever play the game. He has set the NEW BAR for what is expected, and it has even changed how young kids are trained. Stick handing will be insane in this sport in 20 years. Reilly blast of speed is just insanity. With few exceptions in the league, there is still nobody who can do as much 3' from the goal as McDavid. Even 2', he has skills that show his years of work off the ice. Regardless of the ALL STAR game this year, he is still the FASTEST during a game, in close, with pressure, than anyone who has ever laced up in the NHL. His wrist shot is so underrated that people forget this is the bulk of his goal scoring - top of the circle, slot. Unlike Ovechkin who needs a slap shot to score, McDavid scores with finesse and accuracy. The Great #8 will always be that, but lying in wait at the top of the circle for a one-timer is slowly becoming old school. It is now how they teach hockey in 2020.

whenever i watch mcdavid I always wonder why he doesnt have 200 goals by year end.

The guy is incredible. Love to watch him play. But saying he "did the impossible" in most of those clips is a bit of hyperbole. Lots of guys can do the things he did- what sets him apart is that he does it more consistently. Definitely a superstar. But compare the career highlights to Pavel Datsyuk- that guy pulled off the impossible on many occasions.

McDavid is sick..never seen some of these clips before...
