As a german who served in the Bundeswehr I need to say this. First it's awesome! You really showed how we would wait in cover for our enemy to get close and then let the trap work. BUT!!! A tank platoon like this would most likely have some AAs with them. For obvious reason. Also Leopard crews are trained go get into cover when being shot at. We would dig out several shootingspots where we can reposition our tank so the enemy never gets a clear line of sight. Fire, back up, reposition

Flawless, flawless just like in your username. What I especially love about this series is that it doesn't specifically focus on a single side and make them suffer less casualties while the other party just gets obliterated. It actually shows to the viewer that both sides are human.

No, he doesn´t. This scenario is completely unrealistic. The Russians would not be able to land, because of German AA and Radar. So no surprise attack over the Baltic sea, they would have been spotted miles away, by Radar and Civilian ships. And also German Land-based AA and ship-based AA would have completely wiped out any Russian Airforce.

Everyone wants to be a Soldier until DSHK or 50 Cal bullets come your way. Next thing you know your partner is hit and you see his guts and brain matter all over the floor. Heavy Artillery comes crashing down on your position and you have dig a fox tunnel because in the live moment it's really intense

This is brutal. It doesn't hold your hand. And cinematography gets us right in the thick of it. The addition of dropping us right in the eyes of one of the soldiers and looking down their scope, just truly immersive. I truly respect your art, and will look forward to the next gritty episode, however long it takes, because these are always worth the wait.

At this point i've lost count of how many times i watched this. It's the best Arma3 machinima i've ever saw, it's feel great to see other nations in action for once i wish the game was this epic XD And as a french saying that i'm hyped about the next video is an understatement

Practically we have never seen a war movie based in a modern warfare, in which we could see other armies except American or Russian army. We have never seen the modern German army in a movie. Nor French, nor Polish, nor Spanish, and many more. That's why I love making machinimas and that's why I say that this is an actual art. Because we can see very different things that we will never see from a Hollywood movie. We would never see a rifle squad equipped with different variants of G36 rifles, in a battle scene. We would never see a MG3 or a MG4 machine gun element covering an attacking squad or some specific defensive positions. We will never see Leopard2 tanks and IFV Pumas in action. Excellent work dude, not only was it good, it was fantastic and sensational. Representing my country, I would love to see an element of jungle warfare of the Brazilian army, working undercover to help allied countries. It is as if it were Brazil supporting the war, but behind the scenes, without leaving "neutrality". I would be immensely happy, really.

What an absolutely impressive project man. On the topic of representing military environments and exchanges that rarely get press, I just wanna throw out that it would be insanely cool to see some, like, Algeria vs. France or Indonesia vs. Australia shit; there are some countries out there with fairly large and fairly modern militaries, preparing for entire strategic realities that Western/American audiences rarely consider. Absolutely astounding work, whatever you consider the next step to be. Whatever cinematographer is getting that level of intensity out of in-engine footage should be really, really fucking proud of themselves.

Flawless War Gamer has returned to bless us once again with his amazing machina series. FWG, I been watching this World War 3 Arma III series since last year and I honestly really love this series. I like the amount of detail and effort you put into this. In every episode, this really do explains the truth of war: it’s brutal, a lot of people die, a lot of homes get destroyed and in the end, there’s really nothing to earn out of it. Your work, sir, is absolutely a masterpiece. Your work also inspires more people to create both machina and 3D art and animation as well. I even became inspired from this to make 3D art of stories like this and other genres and games. You sir, are a blessing to machina and 3D art. I give this series a 100/10: it’s a really great series

The high angle firing from the german SPG's is as accurate as it gets when firing from inside an urban zone. Love seeing artillery represented in here. (even though they keep getting destroyed by cruise missiles xp)

Excellent series as always been watching since the first vids. One thing i think would be interesting too add in this series is the element of PMC groups since mercenary armies are beginning too appear more in major areas of conflict in modern wars. (IE the middle East, Ukraine) and would be interesting too see.

The moment I saw the covered smoothbore cannons of the Leopard 2, GHOST DIVISION immediately went through my head. And I have to say that as a German I liked it very much, even if most of my compatriots today would howl about such a video and see it as a glorification of war. By the way, this was excellent work, a real work of art! Subsequent note: At this point I just wanted to say again that I am not one of those people who claim that this is a glorification. @Flawless War Gamer I think no one can accuse you of glorifying war, no one in their right mind that is (which excludes the woke, as they clearly aren't), you show the suffering of the wounded and dying too clearly, as far as Arma 3 allows. The Soldier hit by the incidiary warhead stands out particularly....that one went to the Kidneys or ging an die Nieren as we say in germany. It is a work of art. As for Realism, yeah there are a few minor gripes, like units holding contact too long (First Leo Ambush, the Artillery site raid and the Artillery not shooting and scooting) or not dropping artillery on the advancing troops (in the artillery raid). As well as those troops at the artillery site, reacting a wee bit too well to being shelled and then ambushed, I'd expect a few more to crack under that. Also a few too much survivours imho for having a ton of artillery dropped into them. You could also argue that the russian forces perform a bit too well, given their recent conduct in the Ukraine war. But on the other hand quite a few things are quite realistic, like the Leopards wiping the floor with the russian tanks only to be wiped out by Air support, which had me thinking "Where is the damn Air Defense!" Until I remembered that the Bundesregierung in their infinite Wisdom cut the last bits of it from budget and then gave them away to Ukraine....without having a replacement. Same goes for the Luftwaffe, which has been neutered by governments wanting to cash in on the "peace dividend" for decades. Nevermind the division certain Parties that now have become rather loudly belicose, without knowing shit about war, did facilitate a split between society and the armed forces with their hatred of soldiers and the armed forces. Often we forget that in Arma with the BW mods, we fight with an early 1990s Bundeswehr, which was very capable, married with the modern technology. In short in Arma we have the Bundeswehr that we should have, not the real one. @KG_S Roberth Yep, we all got that bullshit, I'm both a combat flight simmer, scale modeller and Arma Player and we all got that for years. Our interest in war, the tactics, strategies and it's Systems (both weapons and otherwise) was "supicious" and "nazi-like" etc. pp. Now however, suddenly everyone is an expert on those things, and it is good to know about it.....although most of these "experts" prancing around on the Newsmedia don't know shit, or blatanly having copied the arms manufacturers's press releases.

I second that! I don't think you can call this piece of art glorification of war. It shows exactly why war is terrible and at the end nobody will be a winner - only a few who don't even fight get richer... Also a fellow German here... I do Napoleonic reenactment and I heard this "glorification" bullshit 'en masse' because many people don't even have an idea about what we do and why.

I really hope you end up seeing this comment FWG, after 3000 hours in the editor my head hurts when I think about how much time it would take to make 5 minutes of this video let alone the whole thing, in other words this is beautiful. I have 2 questions I hope you wouldn't mind answering, would you ever consider uploading to the Steam workshop a composition of the customized loadouts of these units? like a Russian group or something... The other question is what map has the city on it? unless you made it yourself.

I don't think that I'm going to upload anything to workshop cause everytime I change the loadouts of the units. I don't realy have a standart loadout for specific units. The map that you are asking for is called Krasnorus.

Great machimina as always dude! But a couple of things kinda "bugged me" lol. First it's how silly is that none of the factions use smoke GL or smoke grenades any time....they simply charge the enemy entrenched positions hoping for the best. And second is when, towards the end (city section), german troops just rush in retreat without covering any angles or using any tactic whatsoever...they just run like "headless chickens" and always end up being easy targets. But apart from these 2 things everything else was spot on imo

Just like scenes 1-5 FWG this scene is more immersive, just seeing the armies other than the US, the German army, and the French, the Germans put up some resistance, I like this one, but in your next one don't leave out the British troops, they have good troops also, would love to see them, or the naval battle around the UK. Looking forward to seeing your next scene.

as a german, i can tell you at 3:20 he says „feuer einstellen“ and they start firing after but it actually means to hold fire, just for your future projects. open fire means „feuer eröffnen“ in german. i just realize that „einstellen actually can be translated in both ways (to stort or turn off smth) because it depends on the meaning

This is incredible! The cinematography and soundtrack make it so intense! Also the moment the Russian tanks were engaged on the road I wondered how they would react to the ambush and as soon as they tuned the armour towards the threat and started laying down smoke I was punching the air! Great to see by the book reactions. Also great to see some Europeans getting some love.

Really fucking love these! I practically jumped out of my seat when I realized this released! If you don’t mind, I would like to suggest a few things, like soldiers when in cover get shot more? Showing that even in cover you aren’t safe from the ambush. And maybe having the Germans doing hit-and-run tactics, such as shooting from windows for a few seconds, and getting the fuck out of there and displacing to new positions. Again I really love your work! Really looking forward to the future episodes!

the series have been great so far but i just want to suggest that in the war infantry probably will either go prone instantly or run back if someone in front of them are died or their armor cover got destroyed, what I'm saying is the infantry inside the movie need to have more fast reaction on whats going on with their surrounding to make it more live and more intense but so far so good thou great job dude

Well, we've been waiting a long time for the sequel, and now it's here! Thank you, you are doing a great job! But... However, there are two points about which I cannot remain silent, and whether to listen to my complaints is your business. I don't insist ;) 1) How long I've been waiting for this, and only after 24 minutes at least some kind of air defense in the form of a "Stinger" finally appeared... well, at least thanks for that...; 2) The invasion is taking place in Germany, but the Russians are constantly shouting "this is our land"... haha, this is very funny! And yes, I understand that this is a game and you have nothing to do with it, but you know... what is happening in Ukraine now is not so far from the truth..

It's nice to see that despite the current jingoism caused by the geopolitical situation, you continued your work, some piece of art with a pacifist message doesn't hurt these days. I'm kinda amazed, because we can see you did your research (portraying the Franco-German brigade is a nice touch, the German army making dealying action as it has been prepared for during the cold war, etc), and you clearly improved since the first episodes. So good job.
