Im a former broken down old school stick framing GC of 20 years from Wa State Olympic Peninsula. Built some customs ground up right down to concrete, insulation, drywall and paint etc. You guys are awesome framers/builders. Everything is perfect, cuts, fit etc Nice job guys. Two things I miss, building with my old crew and my youth and those joking moments around the jobsite. I’ll be 60 in 8 days and 5 years I’ll be retiring from being a Boeing Aircraft Mechanic here in Ohio. Just wanted to let you guys know, you bring back great memories of my jobsite days and my youth and all you guys craftsmanship, awesome work. I came across your videos and totally enjoy watching your work. You guys are pretty funny 😆You guys brought up why the carpenter pencils are flat, personally outside of them fitting pretty good in your ear or nailbag chisel slots, I think they are best for doing those 1/4 scribes . The other is mixing your coffee 😁

Being in construction for over 30 years myself. It's great to see a talented crew that takes pride in their craftsmanship!! The young generation still in school needs to watch your guys channel. Just to let them know how you can build something amazing with your skills and at the end its very rewarding. I'd buy your crew lunch if you're ever out in Colorado. Peace brothers 🙏

I am a 27 year old woman who knows nothing about building a house, but i found this video very interesting & i think this crew is very talented & i find it amazing that you guys were able to do every step of the process, i thought once you guys finished the base of the house, a different crew would come in to do the rest… but nope! & i imagine all of your wives/husbands, or future wives/husbands are/will be very lucky to have someone who is so knowledgeable, handy & able to literally build a house from the ground up… good work guys ❤❤

Love this video. I'm a former builder from Georgia. At 1:09 you asked why the pencils are flat. 1) They won't roll off the surface you lay them on. 2) But they can be used for fine measuring or spacing. They are 1/4" thick and 1/2" wide. 3) The lead is thick to resist breaking, and you can scrub the lead down to a sharp but wide shape for precision marking.

Having framed custom homes for 30+ yrs. I've been on jobs where I've done what you've done here and being ( Ol school) I don't impress easily but you guys get a hats off from me! It's great when you have a crew that has a good sense of humor...takes the edge off of a sometimes stressful job and as you know...makes for a better job done in the end. Great job and video guys!

In today's world, a guy with a busted foot showing up for work is incredible. It's a miracle if you can get anyone to show up for two months in a row, much less a walking wounded. Kudos to him and the rest of the crew. Really impressed by your crew and their commitment to the company/projects.

Started watching by accident and couldn't stop until I watched to the finish. Great build and really appreciate ALL of the detailed video work. My only frustration is that we can't find contractors like you guys here in Florida. Makes me want to move to the mountains just so you guys can build as house for us. :-)

I actually love watching your video's. I grew up doing construction with my Dad. He died March of 2020. I watch you guys and it brings back memories of stuff we did. Of course we didn't have all them fancy tools. This was back the late 60s and most of the 70s till I went in the service. Thank you for the memories

I have to say this is the best of the best when it comes to construction videos. I watched the whole wideo start to finish in one take. I love the way it was filmed and edited and the voice over, th little jokes and laughs were the best, the technical details were detailed enough that i understood the basics and maybe even more, but not too much that i got bored. Overall an extremely pleasant experience watching this.

As a former contractor/builder I have to say I really enjoy the coraderie of the crew. I am now retired but I miss the days of cutting up and working on a project with a bunch of fellas you know and work well together with.

Top tip When using a hole cutter on ply or mdf board, start the hole to mark the circle and then drill a small 1/4 hole just inside the circle. All the sawdust will go down the 1/4 hole. This stops burning and if a cup is put underneath, all the dust will fall into the cup. Ideal in counter tops etc.

I really like the way you guys build houses. Of course, I suppose that this video house must cost a fortune in dollars, because the finishes are very fine. I'm thinking as I watch this all the way (thanks for holding my interest), that every homeowner, potential or otherwise should see this. Why?- because this is where the dreams they might have meet the reality of what can be done. You are one of the fortunate builder teams that still have a creative edge to solve the inevitable issue.. It was a fantastic video of what it takes to build a house flexible enough to be a home.

Really nice build, I'm sure you are all very proud of it. I'm a 45 year architectural professional specializing in single family homes, mostly MUCH larger than what you've built in this video (think "McMansions") and I really appreciate your attention to detail, especially finishes, and the wonderful, creative, and unique custom touches. I work the greater Pacific Northwest area and some of our building techniques vary a bit from yours (example: all our foundations are poured-in-place concrete, almost no use of CMU at all), but then, the conditions we build to and for are also quite different. Beautiful home, incredible site, magnificent views...truly an awesome build!

As you folks were doing many of the finishing aspects of this build, I was getting chills. The overall craftsmanship and the how this all came together, was stunning!!

I hope whenever I get my certification and can start getting a job for a contractor, I can get on with a crew like yall 😂 like the best thing about this is you get it done right and have fun at the same time

I only don’t dig the plastic finish on the outside and loads of drywall but that’s an American thing I guess. Well, this is the first time I've watched one of your builds and I am surprisingly impressed. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the entire crew seemingly had a great morale throughout. And, a level of skill and professionalism that is rarely ever seen anymore these days. Keep up the good work. I will be subscribing to your channel, which is something I rarely ever do. I'm disabled now or forced retired, so I live vicariously thru these videos now a days. The only thing that I didn't like was the tile in the shower. I liked the river rock accent but the square blue-green tiles (totally and purely a matter of taste and style). It just wasn't for me. I have a feeling the local handyman will be tearing those out in a few years, and replacing them with rectangle marble or slate tiles...

Damnit guys! You make me want to move to North Carolina just so you can build me a house… I’m the woods… while I watch and eat…. right after I’ve won a damned lottery! I’ve built or supervised about 1400 homes but you guys do things differently there. Very professional work!

I've been an auto mechanic for 20+ years until I threw out my back but at times throughout the years when I was out of work, I would work with my dad building houses or doing additions, remodels etc. , and I loved the work that I did. Hard work for sure but I loved it. That being said, I really enjoyed watching you guys build this awesome house in its beautiful location. Nice work guys!

The way you guys get into the details is awesome. Like planing the lumber to make sure the decking is completely flat and other stuff most builders wouldn't care about. Impeccable work guys.

This was an incredible production. Do you guys have a breakdown of the financials anywhere? What parts of the project costs were, how long it took, etc?

I would hire these guys to build a home because they are so detail oriented. The different moods of music you picked is awesome! So fascinating to watch!!! I want to eventually make my own bookcase. I want to know how to use tools & how to use them! The rock pebbles in the shower was a great idea! I love the wood floors!!! They are so much better than rugs! The fireplace and tile were wonderful. I wondered how the patio wire was set. A very cool invention for the safety wire. This guy made his own plane. One guy just shakes his head. I love watching grown men having shits & giggles. So that blade thing smooths the concrete out? I didn't know that concrete would crack in a big piece of floor like that. Wait, I watched this months ago. Right?! I remember the little store. Beautiful place to have a home. I have so much respect for builders & every man that comes in for building, concrete, plumbing, electric & so on. One thing I never realized was all the math involved & always the level. All those muscles, but back breaking work. Lay on the floor & put your legs up on the wall. Things happen. You know if it could, it will. Beautiful place for a lunch!!! Be kind to one another. Stay safe. Love to all
