4.5 cups of wheat flour (540 g).
1.5 glasses of water (300 ml).
1 teaspoon of salt (8 g).
1 egg.
For the filling:
1 bunch of parsley.
4 green onions.
1 teaspoon of black pepper (4 g).
1 teaspoon of salt (4 g).
For Between and Frying:
Melted butter (150 g).
1 teaspoon of vegetable oil (90 ml).

I'm from Oklahoma USA. I was raised on cattle ranches all my life, spent a few years in Adana Turkey ('79-'81). My family didn't take well to me introducing sheep to the place, but this dish with a lamajoon filling won the day! thanks for posting it, I hadn't made it for years, but am going to do so today!

Wow!! When I first saw the picture of this video, this recipe looked like it would be VERY hard to make! The finished product looks like something out of a GOURMET RESTAURANT and impossible for a simple home cook, like myself, but I still decided to watch the video. I am so GLAD I watched it!!! This is a very simple, low cost recipe that I think anyone could create with a little patience for beginners of course! I can't wait to try it. I bet you can put whatever spice combinations you like best. I bet it could even be made into a sweet desert bread if you used cinnamon and sugar instead of savory spices!

A version of these are available in south India. They are called Khara-bun. Khara means salty and bun is baked bread. The Indian version is smaller, and a bit more rigid i.e. it holds its shape & doesn't break easily. The khara buns are an excellent companion to piping hot Indian tea. I loved the combination of tea & Khara-bun for afternoon/evening snack. The dorm I used to stay during my undergraduate studies had a canteen which served these. They used to be made locally so we're always very fresh. This video brought back those memories, was so much fun!
