There is just something so very ‘right’ about what you do. This is how we are meant to live-semi-nomadic with nature not stuck in some urban jungle. We’ve definitely lost touch with the way we’re supposed to live. I think that’s why your videos are so popular-they strike a chord with something everyone is desperately missing. Nice one brother Swed, well done. I just got back from a week in the southern Rocky Mountains(northern New Mexico)fishing the mountain rivers for rainbow, brook and brown trout. I still have the smell of fresh pines and campfires lingering and I come home to this video..wonderful. Everything looked good on your end, I had no doubt of course. Weather getting warmer and catching fish, life is good. Forgotten spoon, no problem just make a new one😉 Loadout was a plus. Great video as always, content and production, thanks for the trip. Nice to see someone else use the sharpening stone scabbard as a strop, thought I was the only one. I even use compound on it sometimes when I'm feeling especially picky about the edge.😅

Here’s a bit of a tip. If you dab superglue over the stitch, it’s stops the thread fraying. It works well for stitching on backpacks as well, practically anything really.

Okay I've been watching and enjoying your videos for a while now and I have some (possibly stupid) questions: 1. Given you mostly sleep on the ground are bugs (especially ticks) an issue? 2. During your cold weather outings how warm are you, especially at night? Are you comfortable or just kind of enduring the cold? Are your fingers and toes numb for example? Do you wake up sore from sleeping in the cold? Have you ever aborted an outing because it got dangerously cold? 3. Your shelters are often open on one side. Don't you get snowed on or rained on depending on the wind? Anyway, I love your channel, thanks for sharing your art with the world.

Thank you so much SW for immersing us into that beautiful landscape. On my list for sure. So… I’ve always been curious as to how yours and Erik Normarks trangia burners work way better than mine does. Mine works pretty well but the flame type on mine is all blue and it pulses with no big yellow flame like you guys have. You guys are melting snow with yours and everything. I think you solved the mystery with your complete loadout. You mentioned something about t-tenol fuel. So i looked that up to find its a combination of methanol and ethanol. I burn only denatured but its stored in rectangular tin cans like the coleman white gas cans outside but covered in a big plastic storage bin. I sometimes wonder if my wimpy flame is a result of moisture forming on the inside of the tin can that the denatured alcohol is stored in. I’m trying to use up these two gallons of denatured alcohol as the head of building maintenance at my company gave them to me towards the end of the pandemic when hand sanitizer was available again. He was making hand san with it during the lockdown. Just wondering if you or anyone has any ideas for boosting my trangia performance. Thank you again SW. another brilliant one! hard to argue with sitting next to a tree for a few days....for the uninitiated non-scandinavian, the magical trick of getting sap out of a birch tree for liquid is something most kids learn growing up because we spend a fair bit of time in the wilderness and its a great source of sweet water but Swedwoods method is a level up! it should be said that his methods are maybe more a reminder that we should take the time to figure out how and what we want to do, and create our own solutions as we go..your moment of Zen..

Amazing what went into and what came out of that Z65. The Stainless Steel cookset 'could be' Helikon Tex. I have one and they look similar only mine is shining new - unused, but mine is 2 pots and a frying pan. I thought we were in for a PIKE Supper, but you let the guy go. Good test on the Moss - I wasn't expecting it to burn like that. Next trip will see the Mossies back in swarms no doubt.

Thanks for entertaining my saturday evening with relaxing nature awareness. The tarp shelter with the different knots was interesting. Cool that you showed a loadout, i almost feel like i carry too much stuff, this shows me, i am not 🙂, and it is still very minimal compared to other people´s gear. I will be soon in sweden for a couple of days, do you have any advice how i can assure to keep wild animals away from my camp? Great Video again!

I live watching your videos. I always learn something new. I will say that I was surprised that you carry 3 knives....all Mora of course. I was not surprised to see 3 fire starting tools.
